Last minute predictions about questions that I think will be answered in Wizards:
1)Why did Aaarrrgh!!! switch sides right before the battle of Killahead Bridge? I think it’s safe to assume that it didn’t have anything to do with the 3 people we know go to the past that Aaarrrgh!!! has already met on the show (Steve, Jim and Claire). Which leaves maybe something to do with Douxie or someone we haven’t met yet?
2) Deya and the other Trollhunters: Deya ‘struck the blow’ that sealed Gunmar’s fate and won the battle, but how did she do it and what happened to her? She must’ve been killed at some point as Kanjigar has been a Trollhunter for centuries (since before the town of Arcadia was built). But she was the ‘mightiest’ (or at least pretty up there with Kanjigar, Blinky seems to go back and forth on who was best) Trollhunter, so who took her down? Bular? Or did she not survive the Battle of Killahead?
3) Gaylen’s Core: A lot of questions were left up in the air in the last four episodes of 3Below regarding Gaylen’s core and the relationship between aliens and earthlings. The Zeron Brotherhood attempted to steal Gaylen’s core, but don’t seem to know what it is. They also couldn’t have been doing it on Morando’s orders as he doesn’t know the core is real until centuries later. So, who knew the true story of the core and where are they now?
Also, it’s implied that Gaylen was an Earthling of some kind. Was he a troll? A wizard? He certainly looks more troll then human in the flashback to his legendary fight with Seklos, but he looks more like an Akiridion than anything. And apparently at some point trolls (if not humans) were hanging out with Akiridions a ‘millenia’ ago. What happened there?
4) Morgana and the painting in Merlin’s tomb: So, I’ve been interested in that painting in the tomb since the first time I saw it. My first assumption was that the woman in the picture is Morgana, but it doesn’t really look like the Morgana in the Wizards trailer. Also, what I assume is Merlin is offering her a grail. She is clearly in the position of power, though, as she stands on a pedestal and he bows his head. Is this a few minutes before Merlin uses that sword to chop off her hand and make the amulet? Or is there story more complicated. She was his apprentice, but he said she was more ancient than himself (or at least as ancient). What happened between them to start this whole war anyway?
5) Trollhunter stones: This was brought up briefly in part 2 and then dropped as Trollmarket gets taken over by Gunmar. I assume the stones from Trollhunter’s past were picked up by the trolls departing for New Jersey and therefore they will reappear in Wizards. It seems too good a trove of new powers to just be used for a single episode and abandoned. Also, we know Jim has room in his amulet for more stones and one supposedly would allow him to walk in daylight. For a Trollhunter who’s supposed to have a foot in both worlds, that seems like a necessity.
6) Danger beyond this little town: This seems pretty obvious, but I’m guessing we will find out what those dangers are bigger than the evil sorceresses, flesh eating armies and alien-gods that like to plague Arcadia.Â
