Don’t forget to recite surah Kahf today.
Don’t forget to recite surah Kahf today.
I wrote this article on Medium and would love if you would check it out. https://medium.com/writers-blokke/struggles-of-an-international-student-pandemic-edition-1487b9e3239
I think the hardest part of this pandemic is not being able to visit the masjid. My heart yearns to hear the athan at the masjid. To stop by while I’m driving somewhere and pray with the Imam. To the suhoor and taraweeh prayers during Ramadan. I miss the feeling of being at home.
Tumblr is very under rated.
Don’t forget to recite surah Kahf today.
“If it is true that God created human beings with an innate sense of right and wrong (fitra) it is also true that the Qur'an and Sunna teach that this inner sense can be corrupted by persisting in sin, and that one can easily be lead astray by selfish desires. It is for this reason that revelation is a theological necessity–to help guide us back to what is right.”
— Ingrid Mattson, The Story of the Quran: Its History and Place in Muslim Life
Moral of the story : Trust no one but God.
Ya Allah don’t leave me when I leave you. Ya Allah don’t leave me when I leave me.
Me:I am not eating fried food this Ramadan. Family:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Friends:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Ummah:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Fried food:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Although it doesn’t change the gravity with which you feel pain now, you will heal. You will smile. You will breathe softly, and tread gently. You will be happy.
So many souls left this dunyā from one Ramadhān to the next, yet Allāh honoured you and I with its arrival. Take advantage of this blessing, race to His pleasure and utilise your time wisely, before another one comes by and we’re not fortunate enough to witness it.
May Allāh increase us in taqwa and make this month the ultimate means of closeness to Him.
I want to love God more than anything. I never want the gift to mean more than the Giver.
