My soft fingers touching tiny black plastic squares, my wrists rest upon cold edgy aluminium.

My damp feet touch my socks, my moist socks touch my wet shoes, I think of planets, then I think of tiny planets, and over again.

I give myself a inner peptalk that I leave unfinished.

My fingers type. I drink coffee, it tastes good. I pouch my lips; I shouldn’t do that.

I drink more coffee and googleimage search ‘surface’ the results are highly disappointing. I scroll a little more. My index finger slides over the trackpad. My surface touches surfaces.
