Posting on Tumblr is like walking into the cafeteria and saying, “Boy, I’m so hungry I could eat a horse!”

Someone overhears you and is horrified that you advocate for eating horses. You tell them you were being hyperbolic and don’t actually want to eat a horse, in fact you quite Ike horses, you just picked a ludicrously and impractically large animal to illustrate the magnitude of your hunger. In response they send you a pamphlet about animal abuse and the evils of the meat industry, followed by a link to a TED talk about why you shouldn’t eat horses. Again you explain that you never actually intended to eat a horse, it was hyperbole, you used to own a horse yourself. Later they find you privately and accuse you of lying about not wanting to eat a horse and how comments like yours encourage people to farm horses for meat.

Someone occasionally also harasses you and gains an army of followers to ALSO harass you about how you used to own a horse because obviously, you tortured the animal with the threat of being food every day. Someone alters your posts or takes a section of a post wildly out of context to prove that you should be cancelled and it gets a million reblogs without a single fact-check.
