idk. personally I just think it's wild that a woman most famous for being the first woman to play in an NHL game has chosen to support the career of a proud advocate against trans women in women's sports. like, the whole "biological advantage" nonsense argument is entirely dependent on the idea that cisgender men are inherently better at sports than cisgender women. is that not the very idea you set out to disprove, manon? didn't you successfully disprove it over and over, playing in boys leagues and being just as good, if not better than them? what the fuck are we doing here if not showing that your assigned sex at birth doesn't determine your ability to play hockey? what the fuck ever. this sucks.

A sudanese guy stabbed someone two or so nights ago and within hours riots were being planned and put into action across the entirety of Northern Ireland calling for the removal of all immigrants. We were in this exact same scenario about a year ago too and it got SCARY that time. It's already getting scary now. Every day people in this country are trying to kill eachother and nobody cares. The only time there is any unity here is when folks can direct their own hatred and fear at what they perceive to be "outsiders". This country is a shipwreck with no lifeboat. It's barely a country.

if you actually cared about your country, you would not be burning down houses and public facilities and blocking off all routes of transport. you are just racist and piggybacking off of a tragic, horrific incident as an excuse so that you don't have to acknowledge your true biases. it is pathetic and disgusting and does nothing to help the victims of crime

the same thing happened over those rapes a few months ago, in the name of protecting women and children. you do not care about women and children. this is the same population with one of the highest femicide rates in europe – the perpetrators of which are almost always white men – and yet you don't riot over that. you only riot when it gives you an excuse to profile entire racial groups and harm innocent people.

if you cared about the safety of women, that care would extend to women who are immigrants or refugees. but you would burn their house down without a second thought. it is vile racism thinly disguised as patriotism. hypocrisy and nothing more.
