Hi, Random question i just ordered a Minolta beercan for cheap and I saw you have used it, how do you like it?? Ive heard real good things considering its age and price.
Hey! It's a great lens for a bargain price. However, it does its best work on a regularly adapted body where AF comes into play. On an adapter, it's hard to get great focus sometimes, and it's also heavy and hard to keep stable without a tripod. But other than that, I love the lens itself. It has those wonderful minolta colors! Pick one up and give it a shot, especially if you're shooting on a Sony or have a minolta laying around!

although I like to think there is continuity of subject, it’s just what you come across and how you try to deal with it. You can’t control it totally; that’s the thing about photography, it pulls you into the world. And that’s the thing about looking through the camera: yes, you have that archive of images in your head, but it’s never that in the viewfinder. It’s always some kind of compromise between what you’re looking for and what is there. It’s almost democratic in that it forces a negotiation between intention and the actual nature of the world.
