Yuanfen, Ryouta, Yuzuki, Momoka, and their friend Quinn were all chilling at a park for a picnic.
While Quinn readied the food, Momoka slapped sunscreen onto the cheeks of each of the three kids... for the third time today.
“Momokaaaa... it’s been 10 minutes since last time! You don’t need to make us put on more sunscreen!” Yuzuki groaned.
“Well, last time we went out Yuanfen got a sunburn and her back hurt for a few days and I’m not taking that risk!” Momoka replied sternly.
“You should have never told her about that Sunburn!” Ryouta muttered.
Yuanfen blushed, “But.. I-I tell Momoka everything!”
★...It all begins with a dream...♡
-It was the beginning of another summer's day in Kaleidoscope City, though to some, it may not have seemed as impressive as it truly was. It was like everyone was out and about somewhere, whether it be to work, going out of town, or just having lunch with friends and family. But one young girl, about the age of a elementary school student, thought that everything seemed so beautiful and fresh. It felt like everything was different in this wondeous city, the people, buildings, attractions, even the air had something distinct about it. And yet for everything new this girl encountered...it also felt oddly nostalgic at the same time. Her name was Arial Tanoshi who had recently moved into the community after her parents bought a new house in Japan so they can live much closer with relatives a week or two prior. Arial was walking around, trying to find her way to the local park after getting directions from her mother but didn't want to move too quickly, trying to absorb in all her surroundings.
Arial had salmon pink eyes and hair with two, thick tuffs of it popping out of her head, curled and held together by beads. She had on a light pink shirt with a piece of bubblegum on it along with long, baggy jeans and heart-shaped necklace. Arial also wore a small backpack that was teeming with mutiple colors and abstract patterns. "I still can't believe we're actually HERE Mila! I felt like we were gonna be stuck on that plane forever...I'm so glad that we're able to stretch our legs again!" Arial said excitedly as she looked up and gaped at the towering skyscapers above her in amazement. "Wooooah....everything here looks so big and colorful...! No wonder why it's called Kaleidoscope City! " A bright smile beamed from ear to ear on Arial's face as she ran along, ready to tackle whatever this new life would have in store for her!
Yuzuki was long tired of being treated like a baby by Momoka. Looking for escape, she pointed to a trash bin and stared at it longingly. Though there was absolutely nothing there, the girl was a skilled liar, though she’d never willingly admit that she could use the skill to serve her ends. She turned her head to face Momoka, “I think there’s a cat or something over there! Can I go take a look?”
“Sure, just take Rosita with you.” Momoka responded, gesturing to the picnic basket. Taking a look inside she saw a small fairy sitting on a doll-sized lawn chair.
“Ugh! Why me!!” The fairy hissed, angrily flying out of the basket. Seating herself on Yuzuki’s shoulders, she pouted. “Let’s just get this over with.”
Yuzuki walked towards the trash bin... and then right passed it towards the hobby shop. Rosita looked at Yuzuki, her small face red as a tomato. “YOU LITTLE BRA-“
“Shh... We don’t want anyone to hear you.”
(They are very close to Arial, so feel free to start an interaction.)
After a few minutes of wandering around, Arial finally found the Kaleidoscope Community Park and took a peek around the entrance, seeing hundreds of children her age having fun on the playgrounds, playing ball games by a nearby soccer field, or just talking to one another under the large canopy in the middle of the park. Arial got from her behind her cover and slowly walked inside, her head always turning every few seconds to get a good view of everything. Arial's eyes soon rested by a small tree with some good shade and went over to it, sitting down by it's trunk. The girl took off her backpack and unzipped it, pushing her hand all the way inside and pulled out a little princess doll. It had purple hair with a some orange at the tips, it's eyes were a light purple and it's cheeks were rosey red. The doll wore a gold crown with a blue diamond embedded in it's center and had on a long, pink dress. Arial held the doll up to her ear, as if it were whispering something to her and giggled. "Oh Mila...you always say the nicest things~!" The girl despite seeming a bit old for her age to be playing with dolls, still loved them deeply. Arial gave her little friend a big hug, being quite close to this one in particular.
Arial continued to have fun with "Mila" for a while, pretending to be on a picnic of their own. She held the tiny princess up to her ear, as if it was wisphering something to herl. "What's that Mila...? You're getting hungry, well don't worry...i have just the thing...!" Arial placed the doll right by her side and grabbed her backpack again, unzipping one othe more smaller compartments. She pushed her hand into the pocket, rummaging around it for a bit until Arial pulled out two small, chocolate wafer bars she had gotten from her mother, a treat she had gotten for doing such a good job at helping her parents move in. Arial placed one bar on Mila's lap and quickly tore the top piece of the wrapper off hers, taking a few delightful nibbles into it.
"Mmm~!" She squealed cheerfully as Arial lifted her head up, her eyes scanning around the area again and landing on a group of teen girls who seemed to be enjoying having lunch together. She hadn't been around much older kids before and wondered what kind of things they would talk about, fashion, school, relationships? Arial locked her gaze on them for a long time, so caught up in thought that she almost didn't notice what it looked like a small bunny...or kitty...that just climbed out of the girl's picnic basket. Actually, it didn't look like it climbed out...it was in the air for a second and it pearched itself on the kid's shoulders.
Arial squinted a bit, trying to make out the small figure when suddenly...a wild idea raced through her mind, this couldn't be a coincidence, could it...? "N-No way....Mila, look! Is that...?!" And the girl who the strange creature latched onto also seemed to be about the same age as Arial, meaning it could be easy to approach her. Arial was...unsure, but this group had definitely hooked her curiosity now and couldn't resist trying to see if she could meet one of her friends in her own world. Arial started to gather up her things and with Mila still in hand, she gently went over to the teens having their picnic. "Um... excuse me....? H-Hello...?" She called out to them, sheepishly.
