actually i lied, i shall post one (1) thought: in the AU where she follows fëanor and their sons she still does not take the oath, nor does she approve of it, but she can't leave her children to suffer and die alone. (i say "her children" because her relationship with fëanor is still very much strained.) the vibe of the verse is basically that everything is on fire and she's in the background like "this place is a freakshow and i don't respect literally any of you people"

The known world is composed of at least three continents (Westeros, Essos, and Sothoryos), a large landmass (Ulthos), and a number of many smaller islands. None of the four major landmasses have been completely mapped, and much of the world remains unexplored.

hear me out here, what if i say aman exists further west of westeros (which is the westernmost of the known continents) and hasn’t been mapped, and the flight of the noldor happens from aman to westeros instead of aman to middle-earth? translating specific events will be... tricky, i’m probably not writing in the ainur or eru since grrm’s cosmology is distinctly different and we’re not sure gods exist, but this is at least a basis. by the time of ASOIAF the elves would be largely isolated from humans not unlike in the third age, though not to the extent of the children of the forest (with whom i’m sure they’d have dealings).
