I want to be able to look up at the stars with butterflies in my stomach instead of tears in my eyes

I want to talk to myself about how happy I am instead of how my heart is slowly tearing

I want to feel seen instead of feeling lost

But right now all I can do is cry to the cosmos and hope one day my eyes are filled with tears of happiness instead of sorrow

Sometimes when I get sad I draw to let it out, and in a weird way Valdemar is a comfort character for me. I suppose it's the way that they're always pleasantly smiling to themself, or the way that they keep focused on the things that they love instead of the things that bother them. In their own morbid, disturbing way, of course.
