An open letter to my ex

I feel homesick. It’s been close to 2 weeks since we were ‘together.’ It has been agony for most of it. I feel sick. I go through every scenario in my head for what could have been. I filter through sad and angry and peacefulness and despair and nausea. I didn’t think it would end like this. We’re both to blame. I can’t change you and you can’t change me. We dragged it on too long but at least it ended when it did. Both of us need to be happy before we can allow a relationship to flourish. I feel severely displaced. I don’t feel comfortable at home with you there and I also don’t feel comfortable anywhere else. It all feels bad. There’s been so few moments that I can describe as good since all of this. I still love you. I know love does not equate a worthwhile relationship, but my feelings haven’t died away yet. I need to be rid of communication to do before I can heal. I hope you find happiness in yourself someday. Goodbye.
