Ban ban is so cute to me >//<.. opila bird and her family are so sweet i want to give them all hugs. I used to be scared of sheriff toadstool and syringeon but i grew used to them.
I think jumbo josh and kittysaurus are my least favourite characters. Jumbo josh is a concept and kittysaurus’ design is just. out of place i think.. But the concept of a kitty and dino is fun.
our system has some guy who exists because we got hyperfixated on video essays that criticised garten of banban. weve never played it or anything but the guy who exists out of those takes on the form of like a mini jumbo josh without being veiny and without the lordosis. his main goal is to be a hater (he also hates jumbo josh) but hes dormant cause most of us are dormant at any given moment. just thought youd like to know

Out of the entire cast, he is the veiniest. And for what? Because otherwise he'd be a despicable green blob.
His design does not fit in with the entire cast. Everyone else has something to them. Like how Stinger Flynn is an octopus and Slow Seline is a sail. Even though those two are solid color, they have clear inspirations. Jumbo Josh? He's a green thing with a fat head and giant hands. Am I supposed to act like that's a clever design choice?
His popularity is undeserved. The popularity he gets is abysmal, especially when you have the VERY RARE fans of Nabnab and (SOMEHOW) Sheriff Toadster.
Out of all of the chapters he appears, he never does anything important. For example, the puzzle with Banbelina where you're in the "secret club" thing. He only plays as a timer. He has next to no important roles besides being there to make it a puzzle.
His personality is just not there. Besides wall murals, he is the most underdeveloped character. You could also make that argument for Nabnab, however, we are shown that Nabnab has the capacity for romantic love, as Jumbo Josh is not shown to have any. Besides when he attacks stuff. That's not a personality, that's an action.
He does next to nothing to progress the story. The only time the argument can be made is when he attacks the elevator. Besides that, he's just a decoration for marketing, puzzles, or cutscenes that add next to nothing to the plot.
He has no character arc, when almost every character in Garten of Banban does. Banban becomes good, Stinger Flynn helps the player out, opila bird has a change of heart and accompanies the player. What does Jumbo Josh do? Nothing.
The shade of green he is ghastly. Even as my favorite color being green, his specific shades of green are absolutely eye bleeding, which can be said for other designs, however, he's the worst offender of this
His movements in game are genuinely awful. His animations make it seem as if he's just a toddler, which isn't bad on its own. But pair it with a giant, barreling green thing with a fat, football shaped head. Sounds funny, if it wasn't offputting.
Final statement on the Jumbo Josh hatred list, he is so disproportionate. With that Hey Arnold head, he, realistically, according to his body size, should not be able to even get off the ground, much less walk. And his arms would be impossible to move. Where as other characters are proportionate for their sizes.
