how wild is it that woman can’t take our shirts off to go swimming or on hot days or while building stuff, just because men sexualize our bodies. we are denied that freedom because men can’t control themselves.
It is not men who cannot control themselves, rather men who want to control us and our bodies.
“I don’t like the thing”
“You mean you want everybody who does the thing to literally DIE?????”
Men get more representation on tv than they can even keep count of, but they can’t handle us having the few awesome females me get, so they have to steal those instead of just enjoying what they have.
exactly. they cant handle incredible women, smart and strong role models for girls.
love when straight people put “LGBT+” or “queer” in the bio instead of like a more specific label bc that would out them as frauds lol
DEADASS
One day men are gonna be putting flowers in their hair and theyre gonna speak softly and be comfortable with open displays of affection for one another and they’re still gonna be violently oppressing and dominating women :+)
hey uhhh in my byf i said don't follow if you're a terf or you're transphobic so why'd you follow me lol
I can tell you why I followed you specifically if you come off anon.
if somebody headcanons hermione as a trans girl, they still are saying she s a girl, if you think that means she's a man then that's your problem with transphobia, not trans people being misogynistic
headcanoning Hermione as being secretly a boy cause she's smart and capable is so misogynistic.
this bird is pulling off the ideal lesbian vibe… the hair, the jacket, shes really got it all
I guess lol
i made her a girlfriend <3
Me: *Remembers I never ever have to fake/force myself to feel attracted to men again*
Me: *Literally sighs with relief*
Would you let an electrician substitute as your doctor? Would you listen to them on how to conduct surgery? No?
Well then why would you listen to a cis person on trans issues. They have no experience with being trans.
you should listen to detransitioners though. they have experience with being trans. good to get some different perspectives.
hermione is trans sorry i dont make the rules :/
why do y'all have to say every great female character is trans? do you think she's too smart to be a woman? that only a man could be strong and opinionated like her? she's a role model for girls, get your little hands off her.
im really trying to prioritize female friendship now. for a long time, all of my best friends were boys and men, but honestly other female people are so much more worthy of my time. i dont really want to let new men into my life and heart.
im also trying to prioritize books written by women, spending money on them over books written by men.
Hey, if you want sci fi/fantasy recommendations I have a few. I don’t know what you like to read but if it’s that particular niche I’ve read a lot.
id LOVE sci fi/fantasy recommendations! im open to anything :) some of my favorite books have been fantasy, its my favorite fictional genre. i actually made a post earlier today requesting book recommendations!
Awesome! So for YA fantasy is would recommend: Tamora Pierce (her first few books are classic YA but they gain in complexity over time as she becomes a better writer, great stories, great author, love her)
T Kingfisher (some fairy tale rewrites and some original stories, no duds so far, love her work, the raven and the reindeer is the snow queen but with lesbians!)
Robin McKinley (I love her work, but she’s a great divider, you either love her or hate her style, lol)
Susan Cooper (her famous series does have a male protagonist but I love it so she gets a free pass)
Heather Tomlinson (fairy tale retellings. Love Toads and Diamonds about two sisters set in India)
Althea Kontis (more fairy tales, series not finished but still very good)
Naomi Novik (Uprooted specifically. So good, her Temeraire series is also good but I stopped a few books in because I got bored so…)
Caitlin Rubino-Bradway (her only book so far is Ordinary Magic which was great! I don’t know why there aren’t others :(
Patricia Wrede! (The enchanted forest chronicles is a classic but the rest of her books are pretty great including the 13th child series which was fantastic)
Jessica Day George (great author but not a fan of the Tuesdays in the castle series, not bad but not great, the rest of her stuff is pretty awesome (still fairy tales, I’m sensing a pattern in my reading habits))
Sarah Beth Durst (her latest series is not YA but the rest of her stuff is and it’s great)
K M Shea (more fairy tales rewritten! Lol. Only one meh book in the series Wild Swans, the rest are romancy but still enjoyable)
Malinda Lo (lesbian retelling of Cinderella!)
Honor Raconteur (not strictly YA themed but she’s self published and reads a little young, still really good and getting better with each book, would be unbelievably good with a great editor, but is phenomenal considering the lack)
MCA Hogarth (very much enjoyed the Rosepoint series and the mindtouch series but is very clearly a furry and into the gender stuff so not recommended without reservation, lol)
Sherwood Smith (love her stuff, some YA some not, all enjoyable though her earlier stuff reads very young)
Kirsten Miller (her Kiki strike series is great! Love it)
Caroline Stevermer (college of magics is one of my favorite books, all her stuff is great though)
Mercedes Lackey (her Valdemar series is a classic and I loved it when I was younger. Reading it 15 years later, it’s still good but not as good as I remember lol)
Rachel Neumeier (the black dog series is good, but all of her stand alone books are fantastic and innovative, great stories and really great writing)
Diana Wynna Jones (a legend! Wrote howl’s moving castle, love her so much, my one reservation is the beginning of the crestomancy series which is good but not amazing but it gets much much better so still worth a read)
I think that might be it for YA, I have modern fantasy, classic fantasy, modern sci go recommendations as well but this post is already super long! I’ll add the others later I think.
don’t call me queer when you use that word to mean odd or different, when you use it to label any group that you consider outside the norm. I am not strange, I am just a girl who loves girls.
anytime someone calls me that i just want to cry because i feel like they’re calling me a freak. it’s almost always straight people too
straight people are just loving being able to call gay people queer and get away with it
