the two of you were out doing some errands, matt helping you out to get it done faster. the last thing you had to do was some groceries, which matt didn’t mind.
you were at the checkout, matt paying for you much to your dismay. as the cashier is bagging your items, he sees you have a lot of bags, and questions. “i see you have a lot of items. would you like an extra hand on carrying these out to your car?”
while matt is gathering your bags, you take a glance at him before shaking your head at the cashier boy with a kind smile. “hmm, no thank you. my husband can take care of the bags for me.”
matt momentarily pauses in his actions and widens his eyes, while the cashier nods. “alright, you’re all set then. thanks for shopping here, come again!”
“Mmh. let’s go, baby.” you gesture to matt, who blinks and grabs the rest of the bags with ease before following after you.
“baby..” matt mumbles when he gets to your car, placing the bags into your trunk. “hm? what’s wrong, matty?”
matt closes the trunk before wrapping his arms around you from behind, leaning onto you, nuzzling his face into your neck. “you.. called me husband?..” his cheeks are flushed pink as he smiles childishly, arms slung around your waist.
“oh.. I guess I did. does it bother you?” you hum and matt holds you closer, shaking his head softly.
“not at all.. as long as I can call you my wife.”
