One thing I noticed, having recently gotten into watching unstable smp, is that it seems like while Wemmbu can sometimes be antagonistic; killing some weak players for training/practice, occasional thievery, things like that - Heās otherwise not very violent. Usually only ever hurting someone or destroying their things out of revenge
But other characters just, donāt seem to see any of it as revenge? Or at least not as warranted revenge
Zam blows up Wemmbuās empire and then gets shocked when he blows up his empire back. Hell, he didnāt even blow up Zamās place right away. Revenge was only taken after Wemmbuās empire was destroyed twice
Time and time again there are moments where something happens against Wemmbu and he acts, understandably for an anarchy-esc server, out of revenge. Blowing up a few things, killing, or just fighting and depleting peopleās resources in the process. And even when he does snap, when he goes kinda crazy and uses orbital stike canons to go fucking ham on anyone who even slightly hurt him in the past, he still then does things to try and reverse some of the damage. Aka, the invis arc
He becomes a guard for the capital city. And despite thinking of some of the others as incompetent and shit at planning and fighting, and actively insulting them for it, he does give them base tips on what to do better. He points out their flaws, basically, just in not so nice terms (in standard uu Wemmbu fashion<3)
When people start killing innocents in capital he sets out to kill them in revenge. And then he states heās leaving capital and guard duties, but still later returns to help them in battle once more. Despite saying that heād leave them to work out their own things after trying to kill Boosfer
In a similar manner, he had spent his time trying to help Lopp save her base/empire without the whole thing blowing up. Just like how he complained about the guardās fighting and resources and such, he complained about what he was doing for Lopp and how it was all going to be pointless. While still helping regardless of his pessimism and rude comments
And in the end he showed clear remorse for being unable to help save Lopās base. Even going to his own destroyed empire again and reliving those memories.
Which brings me to another point; even before the invis arc, Wemmbu has had moments where heās helped someone he previously disliked/wasnāt on the same side of (Like with helping Lop, or maybe, if you wanna count it(?) when he worked with Zam to get out of that prison)
It happens way more during the invis arc, of course, but nonetheless I think this helps to show how even after Wemmbuās taken revenge, heās willing to put issues aside and help somebody (although sometimes only begrudgingly so), even if it in no way benefits him other than taking away some of his restlessness and boredom.
I think Wemmbu regrets everything he did with the orbital strike canon right before the invis arc. I mean to me, it reads clearly like he had a moment where all of this past fighting - back and forths where he was wronged so he gets revenge only for pretty much everyone to end up hating him wether or not they take revenge back - made him sort of snap with the sudden power or the orbital strike canon. Sort of like a mix of letting the power get to your head, going in a power trip, and having a million bad days/small moments hit you all at once like a freight train
So (to me, at least) it seems like he immediately wanted to try and counteract some of the damage by helping people
Aka. Part of the Invis mafia arc (again)
And I could make a joke about Wemmbu being unable to apologize, but letās be real, he probably immediately assumed that everyone wouldnāt accept any apology after the orbital strike ānuking the whole serverā escapade. And uh. I donāt think everyone would be keen on forgiving him either. Understandably so lmao
