Kodak Brownie Folding Camera No2

I recently picked up from my local recycle centre a Kodak Brownie Folding Camera No2 for just a few pound. Cosmetically its in amazing condition for a camera of around ninety years of age. After giving it a little freshen up and cleaning the glass it appeared to be in full working order and ready for use. Today I Ioaded it up with a roll of FP4 and went to a quaint little village church not far from home to see if its still capable of producing a half decent negative. I had no issues at all using the camera and had it set up on a tripod with a cable release as my shutter speeds where mainly between 30s and 1m. Its a very simple camera to use a the additional bonus of the reflecting viewfinder (albeit small) is very handy. The shutter seems to work flawlessly which I believe is a characteristic of the ball bearing type shutters.

I have now developed the film and waiting for it dry but on initial inspection all frame's are exposed well, spacing is fine and detail looks good. On the last two frame there is some light leak. These two frame's where shot outside in bright sun so that something I will look to rectify. Well as soon as the film is dry I'll get scanning and post up some sample photo's.

For the same price as a roll of film this 6x9 negative producing camera is a sure bet and would recommend one to anyone who loves to use old film cameras. Cant wait to run a roll of colour film through it next.
