So I'm sitting in the chair, eating dinner having an intellectual conversation with my younger brother, Rashad, about the use of Snapchat from an 18 yr old's perspective. He was giving me an honest ear, and then he says, "I have to take out the garbage." Ok, cool. We continue the conversation, and as I look down eating dinner, I can hear Rashad undressing. I see in my peripheral that he's undressing, first by taking his shoes off. Then I look up and now he's in his underwear with the garbage walking out the kitchen door. 😒😳 Wtf. I ask him, "WHY", as he's leaving, and he only grins and walks away. So long, field nigga. 😅 As I hear him coming back from outside, I began to record onto his Snapchat story. He's laughing, and I proceed with my question. Why? He later answers, "It's 1 in the morning, and aint nobody outside. (BS) insert (BS) insert (BS)" It was at that moment I understood which "one" he was. I remember him interrupting me, during our Snapchat conversation, and asking how cold it was outside. He saw the window of opportunity in that moment, and took it without a second thought. He's the one who lives in the moment. He's the one with optimism. He's the one with adventure. He's brave. He's humble. He's the one. But as a part of growing he has to realize, every opportunity isn't always a good opportunity. The opportunity he took in that previous moment was great! Nobody was outside! Why not?! What he has to understand is the importance of weighing out the pros and cons of every opportunity before taking advantage. You should get something from those opportunities.
