Fibonacci Ward? Well… That should be easy to reach from where Blade currently was… Still it’d be quite a bit of walking. He supposed it wouldn’t hurt to text while walking… He couldn’t believe he’d finally get to see these two after so long. Even if the circumstances are a bit strange.

There was something that was still bothering him, however.

Watching the text messages cross over his screen, he smiled. It’d been a long couple of weeks, it’d be nice to see them both again… They were on their way, all he had to do was wait. He heaved a sigh, seemingly of relief.

His phone’s battery was low, and he wasn’t sure he had the means to charge it. Cursing under his breath, he tapped the microphone button, holding his phone closer to his mouth. He didn’t have long, he needed to send this out quick.

That was his destination, and he could already see the housing area coming into view as he walked.  With a proper destination now set, he started jogging toward the house, but not before sending another message.

confusion was plastered clean across the mercenary’s face as the other suddenly reacted as though he was in a recent fight.  he certainly hadn’t, and really couldn’t remember the last major fight he was in--he hadn’t been in elrianode in a while, after all.

raising his hands in a quick gesture, he attempted to console the woman’s worry.

There certainly was no shortage of men without shirts in this place - and they all carried themselves with such similar airs. Did this land just happen to attract people who looked like they’d just returned from a vacation in Southgand? Sure, the place was in rubble, but certainly they could’ve found something to cover up with. Another note for the journal, she supposes.

She’s about to whip out a pen when she comes across another one of those large, muscley-types sitting on a curb, seemingly zoned out to all noise of the world. A feat in a place like this.

She promptly plops down next to him, crossing her arms behind her head and gazing out at the horizon with the same wistful gaze he carries on his face. “So what’re you in for?”

sitting down on a curb and idly kicking stones seemed to be a hobby for rex as he continued to explore the city.  no matter where he looked, nothing but rubble as far as the eye could see.  he couldn’t quite figure out how to make a living in this desolate shithole, especially given how there was nowhere to set up shop.

usually others just walked past without paying him much mind, but when someone sat down next to him, it was enough to catch his interest, and he looked toward her.

《 Guessing you mean how did I end up in this place?  Honestly I have no idea.  I was wandering around one city, then next thing I know I’m almost falling into a gigantic hole in the middle of the city.  》

he shrugged, then resumed kicking the rocks near his boot.

he couldn’t really deny that he was the curious type, always interested in learning things, but he soon realized that the stranger wasn’t referring to his past and what could have caused his scarring, but rather her interpretation.  he remained quiet to let her continue...

and found himself quickly regretting that decision.

Its not envy in his voice, but rather enthusiasm for the other youth.
