I don't fault rt for releasing a valentine's card for bees and I don't expect them to know it's blacksun week. But the timing hurts anyway and other ships besides blacksun also feel left out. Why don't they have multiple cards or mix and match?

Can you imagine Kali's reaction if bumbleby happened? She would be so confused. Like her daughter brought back such a good boy only to learn they were just friends and she hooked up with a girl they've never met shortly after Sun leaves. Ilia too. I wouldn't be surprised if she felt some anger that Blake never acknowledged her affections yet dates Yang. Where did anyone claim to own the tag, and *really* is this necessary? I’m happy for bumbleby shippers and all the development you guys are getting between Blake and Yang! I’m glad you guys are getting content both within the fandom and from RT! Those are all happy things

But this is why many blacksun shippers get irritated with bumbleby shippers in tags that they frequent— this post is nothing else but literally just starting fights. Sure! Sun is happy for Blake and Yang! Good for you guys, it’s a quality headcanon! Guess what, a lot of blacksun shippers check the Sun tag because we like Sun and for no other reason. We don’t claim we own the tag, we just don’t want shit like this that is blatantly ship war fodder in it when it’s already small as is. And don’t put words in my mouth about this, the reason this is fucked up is the clear jab at blacksun shippers where of *course* they’re going to end up seeing it.

If bumbleby progresses to canon, yeah, I’m sure Sun would put his feelings aside and be happy for Blake and Yang.
