fireturnedflesh / daenerys
for all her pretended aloofness – for all the makers and markers of a queen by blood, by royal decree. daenerys has ever wielded a spot so soft as to leave her weak, for the beauty of flowers, and how sweetly they bloomed in the wake of her heat.
“tell me what you missed.”
daenerys challenges, but words are cultivated with distance in mind. it’d been many long months since last she’d returned to the golden coast of mereen. her lover stashed in a tall, lonely monolith.
it would be sensible to assume she harbored a resentment or three.
the distance between them now, however, is measured in centimeters at most. stepping closer, slowly, the silver drag of her gown against the stone floor all the sound afforded to them.
she stands just shy of falia, amethyst gaze burning far brighter than the setting sun.
“and tell me how best to remedy it.”
a queen though she may be. but a person cowed by love does not observe class, bloodline nor rank.
Oh, the temptation arises to play coy, to flirt with denial, but Daenerys steps closer and Falia’s drawn as a moth to a flame. She’s never been particularly adept at resisting the pull of gravity, and maybe the problem has always been that she doesn’t want to. She doesn’t want to now--and why deny them both what she’s been so desperately craving?
“Just you,” she murmurs, reaching out to brush her fingers over Daenerys’ wrist, savoring the heat of her beloved’s skin. “I missed your touch. I missed your lips. I missed your company. It’s lovely here, of course, but it gets lonely.” The slightest of pouts accompanies the words, though there’s no true resentment behind them.
Skirting the line between bold and demure, she draws just a fraction of a step closer. A flush rises in her cheeks, though she holds the queen’s burning gaze. “You could tell me about your travels. Share supper with me. A glass of wine.” Her lips part instinctively, some mischief in her eyes.
“Unless you’d something else in mind.”
