RA Tip 4: Buy a notebook to write bulletin board and event ideas in. Get a notebook that has a decorative cover or decorate a plain notebook with stickers.

It's that time of year again. School is starting. I want to wish the RAs good luck, and have a wonderful school year.

As the new school year approaches, it is a great idea to start writing down bulletin board ideas for the semester. Having a list of topic ideas will help you in the long run. Can't think of any? Look on Pinterest for ideas, or think of something from your childhood that you could make a board out of, such as a game or TV show/cartoon.

RA Tip 3: Can’t figure out what kind of bulletin board to do. Pinterest and Google are your best friends.

RA Tip 2: Match your door decs to your bulletin board theme. It doesn’t have to be done but it is an added touch and an extra step in showing your residents that you take the time in planning.

RA Tip 1: When planning a bulletin board, draw up a paper model of your idea (the way you want the board to look like). It is always easier to recycle the paper model then it is to tear down the board because it doesn’t look like the way you want it to.
