Final Music video_Group assignment

Theme: Transition

Initial concept was the transition from kabutar to wireless. Then we decided to go all the way back to cave era.

This group assignment was filled with full of fun as we have to do acting and try to depict how we communicate.

My part was to show landline to mobile. for landline scene, I have shoot many times with different background so that my scene can merge with Siddharth’s scene. I enjoyed it very much. It was very difficult for me to act which looks a bit real and also the time I have to take care of.

From cave paintings to the media of probable dystopian futures, see how one message travels across time. Moving through different modes of communication, this video is an attempt at showing the ever transitioning ways in which mankind has communicated and will keep doing so! submitted for the Fundamentals of Visual Design course under the M.Des programme at National Institute of Design.

Word composition 20*20cm, 8*8cm window

Brief : In 20cmX20cm squares. Using any two geometric shapes (circle, triangle, square, rectangle or rhombus), lines and dots of any size and colour. Create two compositions that represents any of the following words,

love, fear, hate, friendship, sweet, bitter, sour, vast, future, past, many, shallow, flight, infinite.

Make a window of 8cmX8cm and then identify the principles of design in that compositions. Take photograph of those 8X8 squares.

PAST

In this Composition circles and squares are used with lines and dots to depict word 'past'. Black colour of circle in the centre depicts that it's the past and blue lines at outer side depicts that it's going to future.

MANY

In this Composition basic shape of square and triangle is used along with lines and dots. Only black colour is used to depict word 'many'.

Colour and Sound Composition

This Composition video is a group project. The background sound is made from using a glass and a spoon. The Video is created and merged using Adobe Premiere Pro.

The initial exploration deals with emotion of humans and sounds created using daily objects around house.

The final video was on how different the colours of different vegetables and sound merge together and creates an idea of a colour wheel.

My contribution: Merging all the videos and giving some zoom effects with transitions using Adobe premiere Pro.

Composition_Lines and Dots...

Initial explorations

This Composition of lines and dots deals with the principles of visual design. The length of the line is 35mm and thickness is 2mm. While the diameter of a dot is 5mm.

Final ones...

In Balance 1, It clearly shows the both the lines in left hand side are balanced with two dots at right hand side. Similarly in 2nd figure the upper left has two lines and a dot which is balanced with lower right with two dots and a line.

Rhythm 1 and 2 both shows the movement of dots and lines going in a very unique way and creates a rhythm there.

In figure 1, It looks like lines are falling down and take us to the dot where the point of interest shows here.

In figure 2, Two lines direct our eye focus to the upper dot which is point of interest here.

Food taste and music

This project is about how your food taste look like when you're listening to a song.

Here I have depicted the taste of a Rajasthani sweet called "Gewar" with song "Kesariya Balam".

Final

The yellow lines show the joy of eating a gewar. Spirals depicts the sweetness of malai and brown cross pattern shows crunchiness of almonds and pistas. At bottom it shows how after eating a gewar the taste slowly disappears. The blue line shows the water in mouth...

Gestalt Principles of Perception.

Continuity.

In 1st image, the road depicts the continuity.

In 2nd image, road and railing both depicts the continuity.

In 3rd image, stairs and railing both shows continuity.

Figure and ground.

In 1st image, it seems like two hands are trying to catch the sun.

In 2nd image, there's a child shape in the centre of the cloud.

In 3rd image, the hangers also depicts human shape in it.

Proximity.

In 1st image, leaves on the right side forms a group while circle shapes of pots are also forms a group. So it's called proximity.

In 2nd image, different colours of clips shows proximity.

In 3rd image, group of trees at the front and two giant water tanks depicts proximity.

Symmetry

Both the towers at either side, balances the image from the centre and depicts symmetry. so it shows symmetry only for upper half because at lower the shapes and colours of houses are different.

Both the left side and right side patterns of square box are equal. Thus, depicts the symmetry here.

Closure

Very simple examples of closure.

1st image includes dots in it. Overall outcome is squares made by dots.

2nd image has the print of half circle but when you look at it. It seems a full circle.

When the humble river colour replaced with different colours alternately, The outcome was very fascinating that every single colour shows different story and changed all scenario of the original picture.

In the very same way, Other following pictures also depicts different emotion with different colour.
