Sylvia offered a half smile at the mans humor. She was already putting him through enough, yet he still found it in himself to offer a well humored joke as he finally found his foot. There was still an instinct, an apprehension within her, that compelled her not to trust this shinigami, but what could she do? Heâd given her a plethora of patience already now.
âWell youâre certainly a wise man for figuring that one out quickly; I am not a woman who likes to be trifled with.â It was a pure &. simple statement. From what heâd already witnessed, Sylvia did not need to prove it. âUnfortunately for me, I am at a pure disadvantage, if your fire had anything to say about itâŚBut Iâll overlook it for now.â
Glancing over at the place where he mentioned, Sylvia could see quite a stir had been caused after the shinigami had left his Gigai. It was only natural; he appeared to be passed out &. if someone inspected closer, they likely wouldnât find a pulse, which might set off more alarms.
Eventually offering a nod, Sylvia walked across the rest of the ice effortlessly, glancing back once over her shoulder toward him; âThen we better get over there, before they think your Gigai is actually dead. Imagine all the trouble that would causeâŚâ
With that said, she started toward the area. When she was close enough, Sylvia began waving people away as if it was nothing. At one point, she even said, âthe man doesnât sleep well, leave him alone, just something that happens! Heâll wake up soon, itâs fine.â
Might as well give him cover while he got back.
âWay more trouble than we need right now, thatâs for sure.â With a nod of the head, Amagai walks with Sylvia, and they arrive at the site of his gigai in no time, which was currently the cause of quite the scene. Numerous people were gathered around, all clearly worried about Amagaiâs seemingly dead body, but when Sylvia went on to address the crowd, she caught their attention in no time, and good thing too, since some people were about ready to phone an ambulance. âHey, good job, thanks!â says Amagai, who also goes on to laugh a little at her comments, âYou arenât exactly lying to them either, my relationship with sleep is a rocky one.â
Soon enough, while the crowd was still caught up in Sylviaâs words, Amagai would re-enter his gigai, and to make her story seem more believable, he decides to play off the whole âsleepâ angle she had set up. Pretending to slowly awaken, Amagai yawns, stretches, rubs his eyes, the whole nine yards, all with great exaggeration, and to top it all off he acts very surprised by the crowd surrounding him when he finally opens his eyes. âO-Oh, whatâs all this about? Youâre all here for me?â Amagai, smiling, stands up and waves at the crowd, some laughter leaving his lips before he declares, âSorry, didnât mean to worry anyone! Just a totally spontaneous nap, perfectly normal stuff! You all know how it is!â Not everyone in the crowd seems convinced by Amagai, most of them seem more weirded out than anything (especially since some had checked his pulse before to no avail), but no one tries to question him as he bids them all farewell and walks over to Sylvia. âThanks, again.â Amagai says in a hushed tone, before walking away from the crowd with Sylvia at his side.
âAlright, that went well, I donât think they suspected a thing.â That may not have been entirely true and even Amagai knew that, but he was out of that situation, and thatâs all that mattered. âWe really work well together, in a fight and in mundane stuff like back there! Iâm telling you, the universe, us, itâs trying to say something.â Amagai, looking over at Sylvia with a smile, adds, âNot completely related, though possibly weird question; are you here in Karakura Town alone?â
