"I-I--" Welp, there's no denying the truth. He's a terrible liar, and the both of them know it. Despite his obvious embarrassment, he finally manages a confession.

"...I was practising for Halloween; I want the passengers to be convinced by my acting! Do you think I was any good, big brother?"
