For those learning English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish & Russian, this is a great website that teaches you how to type through practice.

This tool is helpful if you are advanced in the language or a beginner and want to be able to quickly type without relying on an on-screen keyboard for your selected language. It would help if you had those keyboard stickers for the letters on your computer so that you could know where the letter is, but this is a great resource for those of you that need to write papers.

To choose the language, simply go to settings, and under keyboard layout choose the language. You can even use it as a game and compete against other users.

For languages that use the Roman/Latin alphabet with added accents, if you’re on a Mac, you can just hold down the base letter and it’ll display an accent palette (I don’t know about PC).

This was super useful for German.

You can enable keyboards in different languages, also, and put a toggle icon in the menu bar on both Mac and PC. But obviously, that’s more useful after you’ve already learned how to use the keyboard with a site like the one above.
