masquerade ball!!
Pandora walked into the Blacks' ballroom with sparkling eyes, eagerly taking in the extravagant room and the elegant clothes of the people who were already there. Though on one level she hated the rigid, polite-society nature of these events, they were certainly beautiful, and she adored seeing beautiful things.
The Black family was hosting their customary winter ball for the opening of the social season, and this year, it was a masquerade ball. Of course her family was one of the ball's more important guests, as she was engaged to one of their children, and so, unfortunately, she was forced to stand with them to welcome guests, looking like the perfect son. Nonetheless, she couldn't help hoping she'd still get to enjoy the evening.

Lucius clears his throat as he sidles up to Lord Rosier looking slightly unkempt, he quickly fixes his hair and turns his iron gaze to Pandora @raindrops-on-rosiers "My Lord, how are you?"
"Quite well, thank you," Pandora replied in the polite voice she'd practiced so often. "And you? I hope you're enjoying the ball!!"
He glances side eyed at a passing Remus Lupin. "mm, yes quite well, I am ever grateful for your invite, may we speak..alone?" He glances around lightly, spotting his parents. He looks scared
"Of course," she replied amicably, though she was unable to fully hide the surprise from her voice. Following Lucius' gaze, she stared at his parents for a moment, wondering what could be happening. It couldn't be anything bad, right?
Lucius pulls her to a secluded corner "Lord Rosier...or should I say Lady Rosier, look. I know, I can tell the signs, Autobiography Of Androgyne yes yes I know I will tell you a secret...but first. What is your name?" Lucius tilts his head like a predatory bird
Pandora stared at him, panic rising in her throat. How did he figure out? People weren't supposed to figure it out. Would he tell people? She didn't know. No one had figured it out before, at least no one she didn't trust completely. She barely knew Lucius, and the way he'd looked at his parents... She couldn't help being terrified that something terrible would happen.
"What secret?" she asked, carefully maintaining a careless, amicable air. "What are you talking about?"
He smiles soft and slow, he looks genuine for the first time, open and gestures to his chest. then his hair. "Surely you heard of Lucilla Malfoy, my 'twin' who passed when we were 6, she, ah she didn't exist...she, she was me, I suppose. I was Lucilla"
Lucius smiles broader, "So Lady Rosier, what is your name?"
She gasped, unable to contain her shock.
"I... wow. I had no idea," she said, smiling back at him. "And uh... Pandora. My name is Pandora."
