Buy a big cheap puzzle, paint the pieces white, and then have each resident decorate their own piece. Put them together and hang up the puzzle on the wall or incorporate into bulletin board.

My Dorm Idea of The Week

Hello fellow dormers!!!! This week, being the first in my new baby blog's lifetime, I decided to do my FAVORITE thing in my dorm and the reason why I occasionally call it my Dumbledorm. Easy to make,  inspiring, and easily customized, not to mention how pretty it is, this craft is an easy way to totally transform those barren walls.

What you'll need:

Black construction paper (or whatever color you're doing)

Scissors

Wall hooks and that sticky stuff it comes with

Tape

A string of Christmas lights

Patience (or in my case, a fantastic friend)

The creation of it is pretty straight forward. Cut out the letters (the most time consuming and frustrating part), tape to wall by making circles of tape, and then hang lights up around it. I chose to drape them over it, but if I had a longer string, I would have snaked it around each row. 

And, VOILA. An inspiring, beautiful wall dec for your tiny temporary home. Compliments guaranteed!!!!
