@rainydaysoup
it's the final day again for ammar's injection and my hopes are, bluntly, extremely slim.
we didn't even manage to raise the money for his immune globulin injection last week, and we are now, on top of that, about $1k in debt to the doctor for the iv fluids he had to take for that.
that has to be paid for in conjunction with his urgent digoxin injection, which he will die without, which means the minimum amount we have to raise by tuesday 4 pm gaza time is $2,129.
i am really not feeling optimistic, because we had to urgently evacuate the family last week from israel's active bombing and no one cared enough to contribute almost any donation at all, even as small as $5 - only a small handful of people chipped in.
if we don't get this money before the end of tuesday, ammar will need over $6k, as it will include an intensive injection on top of everything we already have to pay
and i know we're not going to get that, so really what will happen is he will die
i don't know what i can say to convince you to help keep him alive, but i beg you not to let israel successfully kill him
Become a supporter of starryeyedgiant today!

$1311 / $2118
while i thank everyone who contributed with donations, unfortunately, we only raised $178 for this so far
we really need the immune globulin injection before 10 am thursday samah's time, tomorrow, which is about 20 hours from now, so i have cut down the temporary goal right now to focus only on this
if we take longer than that time, ammar will need more iv fluids - but, because we didn't pay for the previous amounts we had to use, he won't be able to receive them. this means he'll probably die, or certainly be much worse off
therefore, we urgently need to raise enough for that injection. he badly needs it, just like the digoxin injection
we still need $807 more in order to pay for that
$1381 / $2118
$737 left
please. we are almost an hour past the deadline now.
the doctor has told samah that without the injection and without the iv fluid medicine to help mitigate the effects, ammar is likely to experience extreme complications, up to and including his heart stopping
i hope we don't need me to say that this would be extremely bad.
not paying for this will kill him just as much as not paying for the digoxin injection
that is why i am begging you to help him.
please. he needs you to help
Please, please, look at my donation campaign and help me. I have newborn children and my son Ahmed needs treatment. He is a heart patient and suffers from two holes in the heart. A mother's plea: Help us survive and protect my child who was born in war.
My name is Sahar. Like any young woman, I dreamed of a stable and happy life. I was engaged to Mohammad, and together, we dreamed of building a warm little home where we could start our life. We spent years preparing our house, but just before our wedding, everything was destroyed in an instant by the war.
I was faced with a choice: to leave Mohammad in the midst of this chaos or to stand by him and begin our journey together, no matter how difficult it might be. I chose him. We got married, not in the dream wedding I had envisioned, but under the harsh reality of war. Our new home became a fragile tent, offering neither comfort nor security.
After we got married, I received the news that I was pregnant with my daughter, and I live in constant fear for my unborn child. I am terrified of the world she will be born intoāa world of poverty, hunger, and bitter cold. We have been displaced from our home more than nine times, carrying with us nothing but the burden of loss and the hope of survival. The house we dreamed of is now rubble, and the tent we live in barely protects us from the rain and cold. How will I protect my daughter? We struggle to find enough food. Basic necessities like milk, blankets, and clothing feel impossibly out of reach. The cost of survival has become unbearable. Every night, I am haunted by the thought: how can I bring her into this world, knowing I cannot keep her safe?
After a long pregnancy filled with pain and fear, after nights without sleep, I finally gave birth to my baby girl. She was born in the middle of bombing, surrounded by destruction and povertyānot in a warm room, not in a safe place. Her first cry mixed with the sound of explosions, as if she was announcing her arrival into a cruel world she never chose.
I gave birth to her with nothing but my heart. I cannot promise her anything. Poverty surrounds us from every side, and the cold reaches her tiny body before night even comes. My baby and I are suffering deeply, not because we ask for much, but because I am unable to provide her with the most basic needs: milk, warmth, and safety.
When I look into her eyes, I feel strength. When I look at my empty hands, I break down in tears. I am a mother trying to save her child from hunger and fear, in a world that has shown no mercy even to the dreams of children.š¢š„¹

the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be a part of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.
I'm truly losing hope⦠For months I've been trying to get back on my feet and rebuild my pharmacy after the injustice I suffered, but the amount of betrayal I've experienced has broken me inside.. ššš
Every day I told myself maybe tomorrow people will stand by me, maybe someone will understand my pain, but unfortunately, I feel like I'm screaming alone.. šš
I've managed to gather a small amount, not even enough to get started, and with each passing day I feel more and more that the world has lost its mercy, that people have no conscience towards someone whose future has been destroyed by circumstances beyond their control.. ššš
The worst feeling a person can experience is feeling like a beggar⦠and I never imagined I'd reach that point.
I didn't ask for luxury or a life of extravagance; I'm simply trying to get back to work and live with dignity, thanks to the years of hard work and sacrifice I've made.
The injustice I suffered today⦠could happen to any of us tomorrow... ššš
And no one can guarantee they won't experience the same oppression and helplessness I'm living through today. This might be the last time I'm appealing to you⦠If you can't donate, at least share my story; maybe it will reach someone with a conscience and some kindness still in their heart.
Because I'm truly exhausted⦠and tired of feeling let down by everyone... ššš

Hello š
My name is Maram, I am 25 years old from Gaza. I dreamed of a peaceful life, spending my life with my husband and my three children... but the war turned this dream into an impossible one šš. We lived through this genocide with all its painful details and we are still suffering from itš. We were so happy when the ceasefire was announced, and we returned to our homes in northern Gaza after being displaced for a year and a half in a tent in the south of the Gaza Strip. After repairing a small room in our destroyed house, we began to live there and start over. Unfortunately, the war came back, and it was even stronger than before š. Now, we have no shelter or source of income. We have used up all our savings during the war. I know I created my campaign very late, but that's because I have no other means to help my family š. I am completely confident and hopeful that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these tough circumstances š.
I know how painful and frustrating it is to start over from scratch, but I hope to get any amount for my family š„ŗš.

A Plea from the Heart: I Am Fatima, and This Is My Story
My name is Fatima, a teacher from Gaza. I used to work in a small school I loved dearly, planting hope in the hearts of children and teaching them that tomorrow could be better. But the war took everything away. My school was bombed, I lost my job, and our home was reduced to rubble. Yet, I refused to give up. I set up a small tent amid the destruction and continued teaching children, showing them that knowledge is a light that cannot be extinguished, even in the darkest times.
My husband, Akram, was my partner and pillar of support. But he was severely injured in an attack targeting civilians. His abdominal injuries are so severe that he can no longer work or even lift basic items. Every day, I see the pain in his eyes and feel the weight of helplessness, but I try to stay strong for him and for our children.
Our eldest, Manar, is four years old, and sheās missing out on her childhood amidst this devastation. Our youngest, Ibrahim, was born under bombardment just a year ago. He has suffered greatly due to the lack of milk and proper medical care. Yet, sometimes, he smiles, and in those brief moments, I find the strength to keep going.
We now live in a fragile tent that doesnāt shield us from the cold or rain. Every day is a new battle for survival. I write these words while holding my childrenās hands, with nothing left but my faith in God and the hope that your kind hearts will hear our plea.
Please help us provide milk and food for our children, ease Akramās pain, and rebuild even a small part of the life the war has destroyed. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference in our lives.
I ask you to share our story and be our support during this harsh and unforgiving time.

I am Waddad, I live in the war-torn Gaza City. My house was destroyed under the bombardment, and I had nothing left but memories and the pain of loss. We lived harsh days of fear and displacement, carrying our souls among the rubble in search of safety. In the midst of this tragedy, I lost my dear husband, whose news was interrupted a while ago due to displacement, and his fate is still unknown,
From the heart of Gaza, we reach out to you with deep pain and a plea for help⦠amelia romain needs your support for Help Wedad's family in
Because of the loss of my husband, I now live with my daughter Najah and she is a mother of four children, facing the harshness of life with patience and strength despite the severe suffering she went through because of the war. We lost our home and began to live with our children in a tent in the middle of the street, without security or stability. Her suffering was not limited to that, I also suffer my mother Wadad, who was disabled, who was exhausted by displacement and suffered from chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, which requires continuous treatment and care. Despite the harsh conditions, we are still trying with all our strength to provide food for our children and my mother, and seek urgent humanitarian support to meet their basic needs and provide the necessary treatment, clinging to the hope of a more dignified and safe life for all of them.
She never imagined finding herself in a situation that forced her to write these words, but life took an unexpected and destructive turn. Her family, consisting of my beloved husband and our four children - two daughters and two sons - is facing a crisis that we cannot overcome alone
We ask for help urgently because we can't do it alone. We need to rebuild not only our house, but our lives. Every donation, no matter how large, will be allocated directly to provide a safe place for our children to sleep, enough food for them, and a chance to hope again. We ask you, if you can help us in these difficult circumstances, to appoint us, and we will be grateful to you forever. Perhaps your generosity and generosity are the light that illuminates our paths in this darkness.

Every donation ā even a small one ā helps us meet basic needs and continue living with dignity š¤²
And if youāre unable to donate, sharing the link or keeping us in your prayers means just as much šļø
Thank you to everyone who reads this, everyone who stands with us, and every heart that hasnāt forgotten our humanity š¤
Your support is our hope to keep going.
