i’m not actually sure who i want to write so like this and i’ll give you a random muse i’ve been considering as a kind of low - pressure experiment thread.

for a second he wasn’t feng but a flaming tempest rushing at fellow dragon with fist clenched, reeling back and slamming it into li’s face. “ WHERE WERE YOU ? ” feng roared, draconic slits and fire spitting fire as the hit forces former teammate down. talk to anyone about red dragon’s temperament, and they would speak of how feng’s intensity bubbled just beneath the surface, hidden as if by a layer of stone. his fists, arms, were coiled tight to prepare for retaliation, attack, defence maybe. he wasn’t stupid. li had always been the more agile of the two, even after all this time the li feng had known before wouldn’t just take a punch.

he unleashed an absolutely feral snarl, fist bunching the fabric near li’s neck to drag former assassin closer. the red dragon looked wild with fury, smoke puffing with every heave of his lungs. feng despised a lot of things, and easily too, but he was a man stuck in his ways. he was stubborn, prideful as their species tended to be, and hated to admit he was wrong. he had sworn an oath to protect his teammates through thick and thin, he and li had been brothers of a sort, and feng had trusted him with zhilan. “ tell me why i had to raise your kid for you ?! tell me why i had to find ren after they buried my little sister on their own ?!
