hey as someone whoās been professionally diagnosed with DID i feel kinda uncomfortable with the wording at the end of the callout that (i think?) implies that if he has been medically diagnosed it had to have been a misdiagnosis. Even if someone is displaying some really fake āsymptomsā itās not cool to talk over their psychiatrists/medical professionals. Personally i donāt really think this person HAS been diagnosed with DID, but its to far to say that if they had been, they were misdiagnosed.
Same anon here, I also think that if youāre going to try and debunk this persons DID in general it would be a lot more informative if you included some sort of medical backing for why each faked symptom is/isnt in line with diagnostic standards for DID, rather than using people with DIDās opinion of this persons symptoms as proof that theyāre fake. Hope you understand, i think this persons absolutely gross but i worry about the impact this style of ādebunkingā someones mental illness can have
hi so this obviously isnt gil. the thing is he somehow got diagnosed DID and OSDD and as someone with DID, i know that is not possible. thisĀ āstyle of debunkingā is because not everyone has medical grade knowledge of how DID or systems work. im not sure if youre aware, but this is kinnie tumblr. i, as well as the other system who helped me write, had to explain it in the most basic way. not everyone is running to webmd to learn and i knew too many people would have questions because they themselves arent systems and dont experience what we do. actually, i would like to talk to you and hear your opinions on everything because i dont feel obligated on an ask on his blog to explain my thoughts and reasoning. you can send an anon here and ill dm you on my own blog or you can just go there. either or is alright
