At the pond

Lapis Lazuli and an oc, Pyrite, sharing a moment at the pond.

A/N: I don't actually know if it's a pond or a lake or whatever. So forgive me if I'm wrong. Also this is not a ship drabble, quite the opposite really. one last thing: This is set a when lapis was just born.

Lapis lazuli sits near the pond, with nothing to do, the newborn gem gazes intently into the water.

click clack, Pyrite walks by. "What are you doing?" They sit down next to Lapis, their twin. "Just looking, the way the light hits the water is beautiful." Pyrite looks at the water.

"it's just water..."

"it is, and it's beautiful," Lapis replied.

For some reason, Pyrite felt annoyed, and leaned closer into the water.

Plop! A jellyfish rose to the surface, right infront of Pyrite.

"Aah!" Pyrite flinched away, Lapis laughed, this angered Pyrite even more. "Well, I'm off to do better things than look at water" they stood up and scoffed. "alright then" Lapis didn't even look at pyrite, which enranged them even more.

Pyrite stomped away, "What can they see that I don't!?"
