The sweetest boy.
Weeeeeeeeeee!
Ralph passed his herding instinct test this morning! He loved being a little sheep boss.
Puppy Ralph was not sure what to think of the vet's office.
on saturday, machete had a mini playdate with ralph (ralphadog). and neighbor mike got to come play, too! it was awesome.
SO MUCH FRAPPENING!
We had the best time, and I LOVE these shots!
Baby Ralph and his chair hideout.
It's a dirty job (but totally worth it). #corgi
Too bright, Ma.
Yoga home practice, corgi edition.
Ralph got new pants. Mud pants.
Time to fight dance!
Uninvited guest
Ralph went swimming at a friend’s house by the river yesterday, and he had the time of his life. There was mud everywhere, and another dog to frap with, so he was in heaven. In preparation for the trip, I decided to buy a tick remover tool, since we’d be near the woods (well, really, I bought three - one for the car, one for the travel bag, and one for home. I think I was hoping that, as a reward for being so well prepared, I would never have to use any of them.)
When we got home, Dave went to a friend’s house, and I hung out with the exhausted corgi. I decided to give him a once-over to make sure he hadn’t picked up any ticks, and I had no intention of finding one. Until I felt the little SOB under Ralph’s left front leg… and then sat motionless for 30 seconds, and looked again. Yep. Dammit.
This is when I did the brave thing, and prepared all the materials for Dave to use when he got home. When he did get back, there were latex gloves, antiseptic wipes, a plastic bag, one of the tick removers, and Ralph, all ready for him. For a few minutes, I had really thought I might try to get the tick out myself, but it turns out that, unfortunately, they’re terrifying monsters.
The removal itself was successful, and afterwards, I actually yelled at the tick. What a jerk, making us have such a disgusting end to a fun day. Fortunately, Ralph had so much fun swimming that we’ll definitely go back, but someone else gets to check him for ticks next time.
Someone gets to go swimming tomorrow!
After two full days of being sick and sluggish, Ralph finally has his corgi smile back! I can't tell you how relieved I am to see him getting back to himself. His super cute bicycle bandana is from HappyDoggieWear on Etsy :)
This is the face of a corgi who FINALLY ate something for the first time in two days. The vet got him to take an anti-inflammatory pill (for his intestines) and Ralph felt good enough to eat some chicken and rice...and keep it down! Yaaaaaaay! #corgi
We have a sick puppy today. Ralph got a stomach bug (or maybe ate something weird when we were walking?), and has to fast until tomorrow morning. Then, it's chicken and rice time. I can't wait for him to get his mojo back.
Just a little derp.
