no lie but last night I had a dream I moved to Nagoya with my family and I went to an izakaya and you were there and I was like hi!!!! and you just kind of sideeyed me like umm no. Also there was a giant volcano in the middle of the city. And Kina had a haircut like Jaden Smith so....good luck with that

Hi! I wanted to ask what language does Kina speak? I hear her speaking Japanese but I also hear you speaking to her in english and it's so astonishing how absorbent little minds are!

Hey! She mainly speaks Japanese since it’s the language that she’s been the most exposed to since birth but she understands both Japanese and English since we use both at home. She seems to prefer Japanese because it’s what most of her toys, books, and entertainment is in but there are certain words and phases that she uses that she will say in English. Kids have such a huge advantage when it comes to learning language because they absorb EVERYTHING! She will randomly say words that she’s heard on TV or in conversations and I’m constantly like, HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS?!

When your toddler is being aggravating, remember,

You can’t throw a tadpole on land and expect it to hop. Your child is still new to this world, they need time to learn how to interact with other people and how to regulate their emotions. They aren’t doing anything to spite you they just aren’t developmentally ready to understand what you are teaching them. take a deep breath, power through the tantrums and repeat the lessons faithfully until it clicks. Be a good example.
