#day3 On the road to The Grand Canyon. Today was primarily a travel day, leaving the sunny skies of Las Vegas behind and moving onward to the frosty forests of the Grand Canyon. The journey however was not without some stops, most notably at one of the incredible Route 66 stops- Seligman, Arizona. It was everything you could expect from such a site and more- from the locals with their typical southern accents who took much enjoyment in pulling pranks on us all (the mustard bottle with an exploding yellow string was particularly hilarious, as well as doors with handles on both sides that caught us all out) to the quirky shops with rusty old cars and vibrantly dressed mannequins. You see places like this in the movies and it felt so surreal to be there in person- somebody pinch me- this whole trip is such a crazy amazing blur! #route66 #seligman #snowcap #southamerica #arizona #pranks #signage #signs #contiki (at Delgadillo's Snow Cap Drive-In)

#day1 We've joined the tour group and we are on the first leg of our mammoth trip. There are 52 of us on the trip and although we have spoken to a few of the people, we haven't had a chance to properly mingle yet. Everyone seems lovely and I look forward to getting to know them. The landscape is such a far cry from the UK, I'm so enjoying taking in the views, even if we are on a bus 🚌🤓 The itinerary today is Mojave Desert and LAS VEGAS tonight... can't wait! #cajon #california #travel #roadtrip (at Cajon, California)
