Happy Tuesday!
"Today is a happy day,"
I tell myself every day.
Reading a reddit blog about feeling lack of empathy for others, if you have BPD.
This is not inherently true, as BPD comes from childhood trauma that's forced us to react in certain ways. We are fully empathetic creatures, unless we split. Splitting makes us lose empathy because we are hurt. Therefore, wanting the other person to feel some sort of guilt or pain in the moment. But, these moments come about because the other person has crossed a boundary. Something that triggers the child within us to have to hide. Not an amazing feeling. It's just like any argument that someone wants to win-both sides want the other to see it their way. But, there's a loss of communication somewhere that brings about feelings of control or anger. Everyone gets mad. It does not mean we lack the empathy for that person without the problem arising.
Those days where you feel really high off your own self. But, you remember all the people you lost to get to this point.
