happy pride month to the fuck tree I guess

It’s sad isn’t it sometimes. I’ll be there waving the flag for LGBTQ+ community. Making sure everyone’s voices are amplified, trans kids are supported, BIPOC and disabled people are encouraged in spaces.

However, deep down, knowing that bi erasure is still happening in those spaces, lesbians who won’t date Bi/Pan/queer women, being made to feel you’re too straight and only an ally. Straight women who come to “support” the gays but recoil slightly if you accidentally get too close to them like they assume you are attracted.

Don’t get me wrong I love pride. It is fun, wonderful and heartwarming to see so many people living their authentic selves. But please remember the ‘B’ is still valid and needs support too, yes, we have the privilege of being able to walk in heteronormative spaces unlike others in the community, but we are still queer!
