The vent case pops and fizzles orange red, before clattering to the floor. Ashling emerges wearing a gas mask—she’s come to investigate.

*The room Ashling enters is covered nearly wall to wall, floor to ceiling in a strange, somewhat bioluminescent fungus. It seems to pulse slightly upon her entrance. The room is connected to a two story hab built adjacent and connecting to Wren’s home. The air is misty with the number of spores present.*

She reaches into her bag—rinans can’t shout like terrans can, but she pulls out a box almost like a speak and spell and presses a button as she starts searching from room to room.

“WREN.” The box says.

*The fungus surrounding the space parts where her feet land on the floor, miraculously growing to refill the space. A spot of fungus on the wall glows a bit brighter than the rest, seeming to spell “Airlock” with an arrow seemingly pointing in its direction.*

She follows, nimbly darting between the clumps of fungus until she reaches the airlock chamber, seals it, and starts the process of disinfecting and cycling the chamber air.

*The spores flood out of the chamber, fresh air resupplied in. The doors entering Wren’s part of the hab open.*

Ash steps through, mask still on. In a fit of paranoia, she sends a quick ping to @bee-ffini, @ranun-hellebore-4th-bloom, @aloeferacious, and @somewhereoutinspace; sophonts she trusts to be responsible if something starts to go south. She has a bad feeling about this. Carefully, she taps the button again and starts watching for movement:

“WREN.”

*The hab is mostly empty, a little messy, sort of dirty. There’s no noise, only the door to Wren’s room being closed.*

She turns the knob and peeks in.

*Wren peaks up from the corner of their disastrous room, dark circles under their eyes. Their hair and clothes look messy. They smile innocently.*

O-oh hey… what’re you doing here?

The Hab speakers start again

Code 168 Sophont in distress detected. Insufficient wellness. Deploying additional wellness.

From the compiler dozens of small, adorable little drones begin to spill out, and they immediately begin working around the Hab, tidying, organizing, sanitizing, decompiling garbage and compiling hot, nutrient rich broth to deliver to Wren.

The Hab is livable within just a few short, chaotic minutes.

Veterinarian Appointment scheduled. Capsica Pepper DVM will be available for non-optional checkup in 22 minutes and 9 seconds. Please prioritize personal care or it will be prioritized for you.

H-hey! Don’t do that! That’s my stuff!

*They panic and scramble as the drones clean the space. They even trip on one of the drones as if zips past their ankles. Upon hearing of the scheduled vet appointment, their distress increases.*

What? N-no! You can’t just— I don’t need a vet! Cancel! Cancel the appointment!

Subject Wren, you are showing clear signs of mental illness and feralism. This is not a healthy living space. This is not healthy Terran behavior. It cannot ignore your situation.
