I’m 18 and I’ve never had a garden. I want to do it but I know it’s probably weird? Like for my age. I’m a guy and maybe I should like something more manly. I’m also from the south so I wanted to send this here.

Glad you felt comfortable enough to reach out! 😊 GARDEN!! Do it! Look, if someone thinks it’s weird…who cares. But also, I’ve had the same nervousness, and I’m grown. Several people in my closer circles do not have a similar lifestyle to me haha, but they have never said anything negative. In fact, they have more questions.

I think there is more to lose and miss out on if you don’t jump into it than if you let the *potential* opinions of others hold you back.

I just stood in the heat with an apple watching this bed. This tiny raised bed with okra and zinnias is insanely active with butterflies of all sizes and colors, bees of all types, and other insects. I couldn’t believe how busy it was. Makes me want to create a massive pollinator bed. 🌼
