ranboo lore updates blog, run by @walmart-technoblade
also covering the origins smp! this includes anyone else’s streams that contain ranboo-relevant lore, although i’ll only be covering ranboo’s sections! these summaries may come out later however as i am often busy for non-ranboo streams
if i miss something from a stream feel free to let me know! i will update the post accordingly
i’m in eastern standard time, specifically america, so that’s how all my dates and times (if times are needed) will be formatted
edit: he also commented that c!ranboo is still being a good father to michael, and that because both of them are at least partially dead they have “a connection on a new level”
do you know what’s been up with aimsey and Ranboo on dsmp bcus I haven’t been able to watch streams ;-;
i know a good portion of it but not all of it bc ive had to miss streams as well lmao. quick summary of the points i DO know off the top of my head:
-ranboo was the one to tour aimsey around the server when they joined
-he always keeps at least partial armor (his chestplate) on around them, hiding the wound from his death
-he is avoiding telling them any personal details about himself, not even the obvious (half enderman) but willingly showed them the silk touch hands and mentioned the hitting on 16 death. when called out on this (aimsey noticed a trail of blood particles dripping down his leg, for one) he redirects the conversation or gives a false answer (he said it was a ribbon.) this comes after aimsey said they knew a ghost in the past and didn't want to be haunted again
-the one time he ran into sam around aimsey, ranboo hid himself in a box so sam didn't see him. for some reason, he's afraid of sam
-aimsey is now living in the mansion, and apparently ranboo regularly wanders its halls and sometimes doesn't pay attention to any of his surroundings. the two of them are now working together to decorate the place
-when aimsey looked at the pictures on michael's room's walls, they asked who ranboo was, meaning ghostboo is visibly different
-he's dodged nearly every question about ghosts, death or resurrection, only answering them in the vaguest of terms
it's not actual full lore content, just little tidbits dotted here and there, but god it adds up fast
Gaming and talking, just talking and gaming, and talking while I game (Origins)
i’m back :) was distractable to the point where i couldnt watch vods so i took a break while ranboo did. but here i am. i have returned. and i have brought lore
-ranboo gives a tour of the new server, including showing how to get to his stronghold
-he’s american and portals are very laggy. he’s doing his best
-his plan to redo the whole stronghold is still in action and all the stuff from the last server is still in his chests
-today’s quest is to find new axolotls bc the old ones didnt transfer over
-ranboo quickly makes a place to plant a tree inside the stronghold so he can get more wood
-chat tells him more people than just sneeg know about the stronghold portal and he says he’ll kill them and tell them it isnt canon so they cant do anything
-he finds a zombie spawner while mining and says he could make it into an xp farm
-sneeg logs on, ranboo asks him if he wants to hunt for lush caves together
-while trying to meet up ranboo dies in an ocean
-phil joins and they try to fix his voice chat mod for a while before giving up on it
-o!ranboo likes knitting and so does o!phil
-ranboo tells phil he’s poor, phil asks him if he needs anything, and ranboo says phil can pay him back for opening the lootbox chest. phil gives him a frost walker II book
-ranboo agrees that he wants to “hang out and chill and chill and hang out” with phil and sneeg, and phil calls him “the coolest”
-phil and sneeg explain their view of the server, ranboo agrees with them. phil says he likes the way ranboo’s thinking when he tries to argue that he doesnt need to follow ninjology rules bc he was in his cave and didnt know it existed
-”i’ve turned over a new leaf with trying to get massive amounts of wealth, yknow?” he says he’ll stay extremely poor
-apparently ranboo has flexible bones
-phil tries to tempt ranboo into getting incredibly rich by stealing things. he gives ranboo a totem
-”you see, i’m here on forced vacation.”
-phil is trying to get him to steal again, telling him everything on the server is his. ranboo replies saying he only has three things on the server, his cave and two others he won’t name
-sneeg says he had a conversation with ranboo and then ranboo went away for a bit and came back acting different. he tells ranboo he can tell phil about anything, phil tells ranboo he knows where his “secret cave” is
-ranboo says he won’t be doing crime bc all he has to do is “behave well” and he’ll be fine
-ranboo thinks phil might kill him after recruiting him, phil swears first on everyone he knows and cares about and then later on every item he has that he won’t kill anyone on the server ever
-he’s canonically evading taxes using an offshore account (the stronghold) <3
-phil is the tax man now. yeah <3
-ranboo works to expand his cave so it’s around double the size
-they find a zombie villager and save it in the new half of the cave
-ranboo ends bc the server is lagging
long time no see, huh? ive been working on a summary for tommy’s nov 28th stream but it’s going pretty slow bc i’ve been busy. this summary’s a few hours late bc i was busy while he streamed but here it is, pretty short bc there wasn’t much actual server content in this one
-says his plan is to decorate the server even though nobody really plays on it anymore
-wanders around for a bit, taking note of what’s changed since he was last online
-he attempts to build two christmas trees near the pube. he goes off to find decorations
-he collects bees from the forest to replace the ones he’d lost sometime between the times he logged in
-he spends quite a bit arguing with scott smajor (present only via discord dms) over mcc teams. this includes ranboo trying to convince scott he’s a worse player than he actually is so that he can get good teams (he names himself and the dream team, among others) and scott saying he can’t have wilbur or dream on a team with him again. scott also says he’ll be allowed out of c tier when he doesn’t lose mcc bc of survival games, aka when ranboo wins
-mcc is canon in every single server. the mario kart or smash bros of minecraft
-he spends the rest of the stream talking in vc with scott, sneeg and (just for a bit) tommy about random stuff. honestly this stream was just sheer chaos or id talk more
i have never pulled up a new post as fast as i did when sam showed up at ranboo’s house. like genuinely. wanted to grab all the new details on his arrest and death (and michael) from these two
sam’s stream
-sam has a map leading to michael’s secret hidden room
-he takes michael back to his island five days before the prison break
-sam visits ranboo’s house three days before the prison break
-he says he needs to take ranboo to the prison with him, when ranboo asks if something’s wrong with the prison sam says he’s under arrest
-”oh, is this about when i asked you before? because i’m fine now!”
-sam says he knows why ranboo asked him to put him in and he thinks ranboo knows too. ranboo is confused
-he asks if tommy put sam up to this, sam says he’s serious. when ranboo still doesn’t move sam hits him with his sword
-sam won’t tell him how long he’ll be in and says it depends on “certain information”
-sam tells ranboo to give up all his items including his armor, letting him keep steak to eat. he’ll put the items in the locker
-ranboo asks how long he’ll be in there, bc he needs to get michael back from eret. sam says not to worry about that
-ranboo death from sam’s pov. no new details
ant’s stream
-neither bad nor ant knew why ranboo was in the prison. sam didn’t put it in the log
-sam calls ranboo’s death “inconsequential” and redirects the blame onto everyone but himself

this summary won’t be completed all at once! i’ll be making a second part with all the actual ghostboo content from this day (probably tommy’s vod, eryn’s vod and either hannah’s or boomer’s) but this is just techno’s because i figured i could post this sooner if i did his first

TECHNO’S VOD
-opens on the night before (nov. 27, ranboo’s one year server anniversary and his canon birthday) where techno is overlooking the prison talking about looking through blueprints to find flaws
-he looks over and sam is chasing ranboo into the prison, punching him every time he catches up
-techno bolts for the prison portal the moment he realizes what he’s seeing, crediting his ace race experience
-”literally, what did he do? why? why?”
-he enters the portal room just as sam breaks the nether portal
-ranboo is officially in the prison.
-the next day, the rest of the syndicate is meeting so techno can tell them about the break-in, adding ranboo to the original plan. he’s not negotiable, techno’s going in for both him and dream. he refuses to leave either
-ranboo’s supposed to have a stasis pearl but it’s not there, they figure he forgot to put one in because there was no point in killing him if he was already in prison
-they bring extra horses for the people they rescue, one dies on the way
-techno + his dog apollo are the ones who actually go in, phil and niki stay outside
-he rescues dream first, setting the alarm off in the process and fighting guards before having to find an alternate route to ranboo’s cell, as sam blocked the original off with obsidian
-sam kills apollo the dog. o7 apollo
-(ranboo in chat talking to sapnap: HEY IVE HAD A ROUGH BIRTHDAY MAN I DESERVE THIS right after sam died non canonically)
-techno and dream end up in connor’s cell right next to ranboo’s, they use that to get to ranboo’s cell

-while going to get him supplies, he asks why dream’s out of his cell
-he takes the netherite gear techno gives him and puts it on
-he asks again and dream punches him telling him to shut up

-the four leave the prison through techno’s original entrance without running into another guard
-when they’re partway through the tunnel, sam finds them and starts chasing. they make it back up to the surface
-there’s a massive crowd of people waiting outside, most fully armored with weapons drawn
-sam says everyone else can go as long as dream stays
-when dream starts running and fighting, sam tells ranboo to stay in place. ranboo replies that he’s getting out of there bc sam ruined his birthday
-sam tells ranboo to look at something before he goes, he trails off when he picks it up
-sam tells dream to stop running or he’ll kill ranboo
-ranboo asks sam how he has “this” (the item he told ranboo to look at)
-”how do you think i have it, ranboo? come here, come here, ranboo! come stand over here on stage, ranboo!” “he was.... he was with eret. how did you....” "and eret gave him to me!"
-dream is yelling at techno trying to get him to leave without ranboo, techno refuses
-sam tells ranboo to hand over his armor
-techno and dream are fighting basically the whole crowd at this point, while dream wants to run techno won’t leave ranboo
-ranboo has his armor fully off. techno yells over at him to keep his armor on
-ranboo’s holding a map. “he has michael.”
-dream starts running. “techno, i’ll kill him. tell him to come back. i just want dream, i don’t care about anything else, techno.”
-techno asks what sam has against ranboo, why he was even in jail, and sam responds “ranboo’s just my hostage. he’s just a hostage here.”
-ranboo throws techno the picture he’s holding, saying “techno, he has this.” techno picks up the picture but doesn’t look at it
-dream finally runs without techno. sam tells techno to tell dream to stay or he’ll kill ranboo
-”sam. listen. that whole...” “tell dream he has to stay.” “dude, dream doesn’t care! he does not care! you have the wrong hostage! I CARE- NO”
-sam kills ranboo. he’s dead. he leaves the server.
(not part of the stream but same timeframe) ranboo tweets on z’s twitter account - a video showing two lives slowly fading before the third breaks in the undertale death animation, with the caption “don’t know where. don’t know when” and a piano cover of we’ll meet again playing in the background. this was proof that he’d lost two canon lives in unknown circumstances and that he was now canonically dead.
-techno tries to kill sam and bad in a 1v2 immediately after (does not succeed)
-(sam) “techno why are you even mad at ME?” “you just- YOU JUST LITERALLY MURDERED RANBOO RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME-”
-techno keeps fighting people around him, stops fighting sapnap when he realizes he doesn’t know what side he’s on
-”ranboo’s dead because of you, dream!” -sam
-techno dream and connor start running away from the small crowd chasing them, wither behind them
-phil brings the three of them to the horses, they make their escape that way
-(phil) “techno, where’s ranboo?” “ranboo’s dead!” “WHAT?” “sam killed him!” “oh my god- just go, just go, just keep going”
-techno and phil both questioning why ranboo was in jail and what sam wanted with him
-[Ranboo joined the game]
-techno realizes that dream can bring people back to life and now owes techno a favor. since dream’s already left, techno tries catching up but he’s already long gone
-niki gets told about ranboo’s death while techno is farming channel memberships (”sam killed ranboo that’s so sad! anyway i wasn’t quite done selling out-”)
-nobody knows whether or not that was his last life or why he took his armor off and didn’t fight
-connor says that ranboo definitely didn’t have a great last 24 hours and he thinks he could have used better words while talking to him in prison
-”this axe... this axe was a gift from ranboo...”
-talks w/ the others for a bit, then pulls out the picture ranboo threw to him right before his death. it’s a picture of michael in his room
-”ranboo... before he died, he... he gave me this image.” [throws the picture to phil and niki] “do you know what it means?” (phil) “that’s.... niki, that’s.... that’s michael.” “who’s... who’s michael?”
-niki brings up michael’s attempted murder a few weeks back, techno is still confused and thinks they mean michaelmcchill
-”who’s on the painting? it’s ranboo and.... i don’t understand.” “ranboo and tubbo. that’s... michael’s theirs.”
-he goes over to tubbo to ask for answers
-goes to snowchester alone, takes off his armor when tubbo feels unsafe, tells tubbo everything and ends up deciding to team up with tubbo (”enemies to teammates” as he said) to help save michael
note: i didn’t rewatch the whole tubbo part, this is relying on my memory from watching it live in bits and pieces because technically it’s not ranboo lore it’s tubbo and techno lore. if yall want a full summary id make one though

-the server is updating to 1.18!
-”i need to get more armor again. or- no, actually. i don’t need armor.” he goes and gets his spare set anyway
-foolish and tubbo are planning to gatekeep the portal to the new world, which will be built out of crying obsidian
-the plan for the update is to add a new separate world with 1.18 generation that can be accessed through said portal while also updating the main world
-ranboo’s keeping redstone dust in his inventory now, like how he used to keep ghostbur’s blue and slime’s slimeball
-he offers foolish a totem, calling it a kid
-(tubbo) “i say we form, like, a collective.” (ranboo) “that has never gone bad before I’M DOWN BABY” (foolish) “no way, this will go right this time we learned”

-tubbo trying to set rules for the new land, including no op armor; armor gets revoked

-ranboo jokes that his first build in the new world will be the white house

-he says the worst part about dying was that he had 51 levels and he may have a gash in his chest but it’s free blood

i thought this summary would be quick. it was not quick. it took me three weeks. my google doc has over 2k words in it. i haven’t gone through the after lore chill stream yet so i’ll probably update that sometime in the next day or so, for now the only notes on it are from my memory (which isn’t always that trustworthy lmao) also the formatting on this one was annoying so lmk if i messed it up, i speedran this entire thing before quackity’s lore stream

-ranboo thinks it’s mansion payment, foolish reminds him of the shulker thinking he’s faking

-runs along the train tracks trying to figure out why he hasn’t said anything yet
-Lesson 53: Never fully trust anyone
-shakes head, staggers back

-tells himself that he just needs to block them out like he’s been doing the entire time
-says the experiments have been going well, he figured out how to cause it (enderwalk) but is confused as to why these side effects are happening
-stops in view of the prison, telling himself it’s fine
-stares into the prison entrance, zooming in on it, before saying “no. no. i promised myself i wouldn’t let that happen. i promised myself i wouldn’t go in there again.” and leaving, decides to go home
-Lesson 67: Leave no evidence of what you have helped with
-”evidence of…. evidence of what?”
-freezes in place trying to figure out what he did before shoving it aside, saying it’s all bc he’s hungry again and eating a potato
-”...or it could have something to do with the EXPERIMENTS, you idiot!” frozen overlooking tommy’s little area, “i knew that if i experimented on it, if i tried to figure out how it control it, then there might be side effects but i don’t want these.”
-says he’s fine because he doesn’t even know what “these” (the lessons) are, that he can just go home and it’ll all be fine
-heads along the prime path toward the portal, blames all of this on him trying to figure out “how to stop it” and says he screwed it all up again
-still reassuring himself that this is temporary, that it’ll stop and it won’t happen anymore and he’ll be okay
-stops in the middle of the community house. drags his memory book into his hand, “it has nothing to do with… no.” swaps to a grass block and goes back to walking, then swaps to his axe
-says he’s moved past “everything that happened before” and that can’t be causing this
-”i moved on, i moved past it, it hasn’t been happening- it’s fine…. is it fine?”
-stops in front of the community portal.
-Lesson 94: DO NOT LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE (flashes onto a book page, all sound cuts when the book shows)
note: i believe in the post-lore chill stream he confirmed that this was supposed to be lesson 93, but i’ll have to rewatch that and make sure (edit: he said “you never know” instead of giving an actual answer. guess we never know)
-”god….. i have to go to the prison.” immediately turns around and starts running
-”it was the fourth book” over + over getting audibly more choked up each time until it sounds like he’s running through tears

-ranboo keeps insisting, sam asks if he’s okay, he finally puts the axe down
-says the only thing up with him is that he fell in some water on the way there
-sam continues to refuse to let him in + ask if he’s okay, he pulls the axe of ender back out
-ranboo demands sam’s explanation, sam tells ranboo that he’d told sam to keep him away from the prison + keep everyone away from dream
-”i’m not letting you in to see dream. i’m not letting you go into the prison.” “no, sam, you don’t understand. i don’t want to visit dream. i need to be put in the prison, sam. please. i need to be put in the prison.”
-sam starts telling ranboo he doesn’t need to be put in the prison, ranboo tries to explain twice but physically can’t get the words out, “i can’t tell you why but i just need you to trust me”
-sam keeps telling ranboo he’s not gonna lock up an innocent guy and ranboo’s done nothing wrong, asking again if he’s alright
-”i can’t tell you… i can’t tell anyone.” “okay, i get that. but… are you alright? just tell me, are you alright?” “i’m…. i don’t know anymore, sam.”
-he goes back to begging to be put in, taking off his armor
-”put me in the PRISON, SAM!” “i will not put you in the prison. you haven’t done anything wrong.” “I CAN’T TELL YOU WHAT I HAVE! PLEASE!”
-sam will not let anyone into the prison but himself, for their own safety. he refuses to open the door for ranboo
-”i can’t MAKE you understand… i can’t make you understand, sam, but…. please. just… just for a little bit, just for maybe a couple…. couple years…. okay? maybe just for that long? okay?”
-sam keeps refusing. ranboo asks what he’d need to do, sam says there’s nothing he possibly could do

someone please remind me to never do multi part summaries again. i regret this so much. anyway here’s the final part of the festival, finally. i’m probably not gonna keep going in order from here, since i took one look at the three-hour-long doomsday vod and went Nope, so we’ll see what happens

-while everyone is separating, ranboo makes a beeline for l’manberg
-everyone else is acting normally, he’s completely silent and walking without sprinting in straight lines
-hbomb asks if he needs to talk. ranboo pauses only to reply “no” then goes right back to walking
-he leaves the call right on l’manberg’s borders
-”we’re screwed.”
-he’s mostly hopeless, shooting down his own optimism
