I still don’t understand why everyone hated Annalise, or blamed her for their problems, or called her a murderer. Literally all she’s done is help these idiots cover up their dumb shit, like:
-Frank killed Lila (following Sam’s orders)
-Wes killed Sam (with help from K4)
-The entire Hapstall case was confusing af, but Annalise didn’t murder anyone
-Wes’s mother killed herself (in part because of her rapist W. Mahoney)
-Wallace Mahoney (with the unwitting help of Frank) killed Annalise’s baby
-I’m pretty sure Frank killed Wallace Mahoney
-Laurel’s Dad (through Dominic) had Wes killed
-Michaela sort of accidentally shot Simon
And all Annalise has done is keep these dumbasses out of prison. I’m not saying she’s a great or even good person (her entire relationship with Bonnie really messed up, how she treats Nate is awful, etc), but she definitely isn’t the awful person that everyone says she is at the end of s3/start of s4.
She’s gone through racism sexism, childhood sexual abuse, she lost her baby, her husband was an evil cheating fuck who also died, her student/pretend-son Wes died, her house burned down, she got sent to prison, her mother’s memory is disappearing in front of her, she’s been shot, the old woman she got out of jail died soon after getting out, she had to try and save a baby’s life after the trauma of holding her dead son, her therapist for all this trauma is a dumbass with his own issues, the list goes on.
And yet she keeps trying to help and do good and keep these kids out of jail so they can have good lives even though they constantly say that their problems are somehow her fault. I just think Annalise deserves a break and a vacation.
