One of my favorite recent pieces was placed by an #interiordesigner along with two other pieces from @gallery903 in #Portland, #OR !
“Hybrid No.1” | 40 x 40 in. | oil, #mixed media, and #foundobjects
This piece marked my first significant experimentation with merging found objects and paint. Added materials include 1940s circus tickets and wood panels from an old shipping crate. Created as an homage to one of my favorite #midcentury artists, Robert Rauschenberg — his “Combines” series endowed new significance to ordinary objects by placing them in the context of #art.
