-  randall  finds  it  a  little  harder  to  control  when  he  turns  after  his  experience  at  the  lab.  this  is  in  part  due  to  lingering  effects  of  the  sabnock  sigil,  which  enhanced  his  aggression. this  fades  over  time  but  turning  (  or  not  turning  )  is  harder  to  control  for  a  good  month  or  two  after  his  rescue.  another  contributing  factor  is  the  psychological  impact  the  experience  had  on  him.  the  experiment  performed  on  him  leaves  him  feeling  somewhat  violated  and  he  also  carries  a  lot  of  guilt  over  those  he  killed  while  there.  this  puts  him  and  greybeard  out  of  sync  for  a  while  and  this  dysfunction  shows  in  randall’s  inability  to  control  his  werewolf  hide.

-  despite  werewolf  physiology  that  would  usually  grant  him  enhanced  healing,  the  wound  on  his  neck  in  which  the  sigil  was  placed  leaves  a  scar.  this  is  due  to  the  fact  that  the  wound  was  abnormal,  magical  properties  at  odds  with  his  hide.  though  it  slowly  heals  up  at  a  normal  human  rate  the  scar  will  never  fade  and  serves  as  a  physical  taunt  of  what  he  went  through  and  the  changes  that  were  forced  upon  him  while  at  the  lab.  the  scar  is  sensitive  to  touch  as  well  as  other  factors  like  extreme  temperature  (  cold  weather  in  particular  makes  the  scar  uncomfortable  or  sore.  )

-  he  rarely  speaks  of  the  matter,  nor  his  struggles  since,  but  randall  harbours  lingering  guilt  over  those  he  was  made  to  kill  while  there  and  suffers  from  frequent  nightmares  due  to  the  trauma  of  his  experience.  indicators  of  a  particularly  rough  period  of  this  will  include  irritability  (  so  different  from  his  usual  jovial  demeanour  ),  dark  circles  under  his  eyes  (  from  troubled  sleep  )  and  a  subconscious  tendency  to  touch  or  cover  up  the  scar  on  his  neck.
