Favorite Cinder Fall outfit?
Cinder Fall (VA: Jessica Nigri)
Emblem: Cinder's emblem is a pair of high heel shoes placed sole-to-sole in a way that creates a heart in the empty space between them. This emblem appears as a tattoo on her upper mid back.
Song: 'The Truth'
Weapon: (Formerly) 'Rhodes Swords' - a pair of swords/maces given to her by her first mentor.
(Formerly) 'Midnight' - Bow/Blade combo that shoots volcanic glass imbued with dust.
(Currently [as of Vol. 8]) - various knives, daggers, swords, and even a bow generated by her Fall maiden true magic.
Semblance: Scorching Caress
Fall Maiden powers: Taken from Amber (former Fall Maiden), ability to wield magic in the form of levitation, wind, lightning, fire, and the ability to manipulate ice.
Shadow Glove & Shadow Arm : First wore a glove that summoned Grimm to attack enemies. Then given by Salem a replacement hand to always obey Salem. It attacks like Grimm, and can regenerate (to much pain).
Favorite Ruby Rose outfit?
Ruby Rose (VA: Lindsay Jones)
Emblem: A rose, or 'scatter' rose
Song: 'Red Like Roses' - Birthdate 10/31
Weapon: Crescent Rose (High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe which she designed herself)
Semblance: Petal Burst (dashing w/inhuman speed, often leaving trails of rose petals in her wake. Later revealed she can bring people with her as she travels)
Silver Eyes: A rare trait brought down from her mother, still is little known. Though she can seem to take out Grimm (or 'freeze them'). First used unintentionally from severe grief, later on used more with precision and choice.
Vol. 1-8
Favorite Weiss Schnee outfit?
Weiss Schnee (VA: Kara Eberle)
Emblem: Stylized depiction of a snowflake (also logo of family Schnee Dust Company)
Song: "Mirror, Mirror" - Birthdate: 5/15
Weapon: Myrtenaster (Multi-Action Dust Rapier. Inside there are six slots for different dust vials)
Semblance: Glyphs (to use for jumping distances and various movement)
Summoning: With mastery, a Schnee also has the ability to summon avatars of the foes that they have defeated (like grimm)
Vol 1-8
Favorite Yang Xiao Long outfit?
Yang Xiao Long (VA: Barbara Dunkelman)
Emblem: A burning heart
Song: "I Burn" - Birthdate: 7/28
Weapon: Ember Celica (Gauntlets)
Semblance: Burn (when taking damage her aura absorbs & sends it's back with twice the power)
Vol. 1-8 (not included were her 'bike gear' and variants with sleeved rolled up [or down], or Atlus PJ set)
Favorite Blake Belladonna Outfit?
Blake Belladonna: (VA: Arryn Zech)
Emblem: A stylized Belladonna flower
Song: "From Shadows" - Birthdate: 1/19
Weapon: Gambol Shroud (a variant ballistic chain-scythe combined with a gun with a unbreakable ribbon used to entangle enemies and boomerang back to her)
Semblance: Shadow (a wispy duplicate of herself used defensively as a decoy or shield)
Vol. 1-8
When people ask why I watch my favorite stuff over and over...
Still one of my favorite music videos. The red/black/white color palette I die for!!!
She's such a spirit animal.
David Lynch is my hero.
Taylor truly is so beautiful. The aesthetics of The Pretty Reckless's videos have always been great. But '25' truly reached newer heights.
David’s powers.
Love or hate it. The imagery in this television show is fucking gorgeous.
Legion title cards Season 1
The Academy Awards and Cinematography In 2014 at the 87th Academy Awards the sublime; Birdman or (The Unexpected Virture Of Ignorance) won Best Cinematography. I could honestly write an entire book on why Emmanuel Lubezki is my favorite cinematographer. In 2014 Birdman was up against some heavy competition including The Grand Budapest Hotel, Ida, Mr Turner, and Unbroken. Lubezki has worked with some of the most talented directors of this generation. Including; Alfonso Curaon, Terrance Malik, and of course the director of Birdman - Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. All of these directors he has worked with them on multpile films as well as the Coen's Brothers, and Tim Burton. For his work in Gravity (2013), Birdman (2014). and The Revenant (2015) he won the Academy Award for all three in a row. The man in a bonafide genuis. The long sweeping takes -- which give us both an 'in your face' immersive quality, and long no cut takes that gives us the surprises as we never see what is about to happen (ie; Children Of Men car chase scene). The man has won 3 Oscars in a row, continues to churn out gorgeous material, and will continue to show us beautiful scenery and complex human emotions - all with his camera.
Cinematography & the Academy Awards In 2010 (the 83rd Academy Awards) and personally my favorite years in films in the last decade the above movie; Inception won Best Cinematography. Up against all amazing films; Black Swan, The King's Speech, The Social Network, and True Grit (these movies were up against Inception for best picture as well) The Oscar winning cinematographer of Inception Wally Pfister was common collaborator with diretor Christopher Nolan as early as Mememto; then continued with Insomnia, Prestige, and the Dark Knight trilogy. He had been nominated 4 previous times with Batman Begins (2005), The Prestige (2006), and The Dark Knight (2008), with finally winning in 2010. In a year where it was up against the surreally haunting Black Swan and the perfectly executed Social Network. It was quite the win.
The absolutely gorgeous cinematography of #AmericanGods on #STARZ based on Neil Gaiman's novel by the same name; put to screen by Hannibal creators and director David Slade. Absolutely breathtaking. The old gods and the new.
Cooper has come a long way from just checking out another Blue Rose case. We love you Coop!
