Ruby works from home 🏠

So, funny story short. I actually work as customer support agent, and one time in my infinite wisdom, tiredness and despair I accidentally introduced myself as "Ruby" rather than my usual "Gordon" alias. Someone pointed this out in our group chat and we had a laugh, so I kept experimenting for a while and found out that people react to "Ruby" more positively than to "Gordon", huh We do work with text based requests, so it's not really a big deal, but it was quite funny

I just kept introducing myself as Ruby from then and the QA guys are totally okay with that, as long as it's obvious to my other colleauges who "Ruby" is :) (it is very obvious, my RWBY hyperfixation has taken me hostage and doesn't let me go)

And I kept imagining Ruby literally in my place, answering all these questions and closing support tickets. So here I go modelling this out :D

I've spent quiiiiite a lot of time modelling the chair and the laptop (yes btw those are the actual chair, the actual laptop and the actual headphones I use IRL as well) I've also finetuned the pixel display shader really well only for all of this to remain out of camera's view :''''') Alas I think it turned out pretty neat, so I decided to give it some extra life and animate it just a tiny bit

V6 finale created some interesting Perseus imagery for Ruby.

She fights a giant whale like monster, finishing the fight by petrifying it. It's very much alike Perseus' fight with Cetus; giant whale like monster he petrified with Medusa's head.

Ruby having a flying mount even gives some Pegasus vibes.

It's a cute little standalone moment. Although we can tinfoil some conclusions from it:

More of "Ruby has no father" fuel.

I already commented on this when I made Ruby-Jesus parallels. She does seem to have some deeper divine connections and this would feed even more into it. While yes, Perseus' father was Zeus, he impregnated Danae in a form of golden rain. Yellow is Tai's color, but taken more literally, this could be a link to the God of Light.

2. Ruby's love interest will have some whale connections.

Cetus is one of the archetypical whale monsters of Western and Middle Eastern stories. Cetus became a word for whale, which then lead to every big aquatic monster in the Bible be referred to as whale (Jonah's whale, Leviathan).

Perseus's wife was Andromeda, who he saved from Cetus as she was about to be sacrificed.

Now, two of Ruby's potential love interests have whale connections.

Penny is based on Pinnochio, who was swallowed up by a whale.

Oscar was literally kept as prisoner inside of a whale.
