Something I realized last night is what Mr. Butterfly is supposed to represent for Blue. Blue treats everything as a performance and we almost never see him break character, even in character he uses these sprites which are a pretty stark contrast to how composed he normally is. I think Mr. Butterfly is an outlet for Blue to express more intense emotions while still maintaining his calmer disposition. And honestly I think he’s sillier than he lets on—he calls Seth ‘cringe’ for god’s sake.
