It’s shocking to think that you’re turning like a hundred years old (okay, only 71), because you’ll always be ageless to me. You’ve changed my life so drastically, for the better, and you really did help me on an internal excavation of my own brain. For years I had listened to your music, always feeling that it spoke to me. Just in the past year I have delved farther into your work, and analyzed many themes and concepts that you play with, and I have never felt that I identify with someone so much.
A short while ago I took the M&B personality test, and ended up getting INTJ. I looked at a list of INTJs and the only one that was familiar to me was you. The idea that we have the same personality type only constitutes my belief that I am you and what I see is me. Knowing that so many people love you, including myself, is comforting to me. I have run around my entire life thoroughly convinced that no one could love me, and that it was just a crazy dream. (Yes, I am going to make some references in this hahaha) I understand so much how you feel, because it is nearly impossible for me to show people how I am feeling, whether it is positive or negative emotion; therefore, I often feel I am perceived as emotionless, careless, or just an asshole. I’m sure you know how it feels to have people leave you, because they assume you don’t care, and I can’t help listen to The Wall in particular and hear that concept over and over again. I myself, tend to build walls- particularly between myself and my emotions. Your music has helped me explain things to others, and even myself. I could never thank you more for that.
