We received such a beautiful arrangement of flowers I couldn't resist making a portrait of it. I had a mind to leave it somewhat unfinished in the background but things took a creative turn. I made this image in reflection of relationship. Hot days do have their benefits. Perfect painting light! This is done with acrylic and gouache. So lots of layers cos acrylic dries so fast so you can just decide to change your mind. Also I ran out of white gouche😛 You'll see it's actually a small white vase and one day I'll do that but rn, I'm living in a Paul Signac and Georges Seurat moment 😜 #impressionism #gouche #sundaypaintday

About a year ago, I met a very sweet, warm hearted lady. Recently, I drew and gave this to her. It now gleefully sits in her room reminding her of the promises her Father made to her in the bible. Took me some courage plucking and a good few months before I started on this. When I first saw it pictured in my head, the beauty of the garden with its trees of cherry blossoms in the breeze took my breath away.
