Flamebound Cultist // Arcanine
-----
For many members of the veiled cults, the helm of Arcanine is one of the most coveted masks among the rank-and-file. Arcanines are known to be a powerful spirit, granting near-legendary strength and agility to their devotees. More importantly, given their innate affinity for humankind, the spirits often allow their wielders to maintain more of their sense of self upon the bonding of the souls. However, there is an unintended side effect to the mask, often kept secret from the rank and file.
As a canine Pokémon, Arcanine can be easily trained to follow their master's whims, a conditioning that can imprint on the Arcanine's very soul. Unknowing cultists who have expressed concern over their cults actions or who have begun questioning the cult's authority will often be offered the opportunity to don an Arcanine veil as a sudden promotion, not knowing the bound spirit is predisposed to be loyal to the cult leader. Upon merging their souls, the cultists concerns are easily quelled under their newfound trust in the cult's leader, and quickly become the most devout zealots of their cause.
I've been going to life drawing sessions more this year, so now that I've got a huge pile of newsprint under my couch, I figured I'd do some
After years of not doing it at all, I made a new years resolution this year to go to life drawing sessions again. I've been pretty good about it mostly, going about once a week from February onwards. It's been fun, if a bit daunting at the beginning.
I mostly used Nupastel (RIP) on newsprint, with poses ranging from 30s to 10 min (tho I've been cheeky and embellished a bit more for some poses). These were all done at Basic Inquiry in Vancouver.

My fav figure drawings from last year
Now for the HAND STUDIES IN COLOR. These were my favorite.
I was really inspired by my calla lilies growing so I had to draw them in pastel 💕
