The random citizen of the day is Stylo!

As a child, Stylo always wanted to become the next president. They always had such a presence on stage! Unfortunately, Gloomverse’s current system did not work in her favour, as she lacks the talents of an entertainer, being a little reserved and bad at acting. Her magic isn’t that spectacular either, but at least she never runs out of pen. It’s quite useful still!

Stylo found the next best thing to becoming president was to become a part of the government bureaucrats. That was a job more in line with her skillset! Now she gets to work closely with the current president, and will continue to work with the next one when Madam President inevitably loses the favour of the public. In the end, she prefers the stability of her job to the fame of being president.

The random citizen of the day is Essie!

Now in her late fifties, Essie has been the manager of a spa salon at the mall for some decades. After the surprise visit of Wallis Gloom in her little business, clients have flooded the shop, expecting to meet him. Rumors has it that he avoids going to the same spa twice in a row, and given the recent developments, she’s glad he didn’t come back to hers. People could have suspected her and her employees to be affiliated with him, or to be working for Inverse. She’s heard that some of his business partners were under investigation...

Essie has considered closing shop after this, but her employees need her. Despite everything, she has really grown to love them, and unvoluntarily became a mother figure to Cotton. The hard part will be deciding which of her employees will get to run the shop once she retires.

The random citizen of the day is Mascara!

When you have make up magic like Mascara, looking for a job is an easy task. She knows what to look for, she has quite the qualifications for it, and she obviously has the passion for it. It wasn’t a question of where she would be hired, but where she wanted to work.

She found herself a tranquil job at a mall. It’s rather nice, close to her home, and her coworkers are friendly. Clients are the same everywhere, unfortunately. Though she did meet Wallis Gloom out of sheer coincidence. She hasn’t seen him again until the magic show though. She heard everything on the radio and saw all those conspiracies about what he may have done or not. Mascara chose to focus on her own life, celebrity drama is tiring and blown out of proportion. In her opinion, it’s only a matter of time before he’s number one star again. If only Cotton could stop her tirades about how his Assistants deserve justice, it would be better.

The random citizen of the day is Ancot !

Her full name is Cotinus coggygria, but she usually go by her nickname Ancot in casual setting. She’s in her early twenties and has been newly appointed to be an ambassador of Ecoverse at the world leader conference.

She has smoke magic, which despite being very fun is not very useful and can even be dangerous, so she left her hat at home to avoid a diplomatic incident. It’s her first official mission as Shaman Cocos’ ambassador and she doesn’t want to screw it up !

Even if she’s a bit nervous, she has a very positive and friendly attitude which is part of the reasons she was chosen to represent her country.

The random citizen of the day is Camera Girl!

The one, the only, Camera Girl!

Ever since she got her hand on a camera, she’s been taking photos left and right, hoping to make a career in this brand new domain! Her magic is quite unrelated to her new passion for photography as portable camera are a rather recent invention importation, but that doesn’t matter! The true magic is this little piece of technology that convert moments into images. She liked it so much in fact, that she made it her new name: Camera Girl.

She was looking for her big break at Wallis’ show, and she got it! Usually she had always been at the wrong place at the wrong time, but for once it really worked in her favour. Getting to take a picture of Wallis’ assistant using her magic, as well as photos of the wandless flying couple was an once in a lifetime opportunity and she GOT IT!

When the press heard about her photos, they all fought over them and she managed to sell them to the highest bidder. Now she’s set for life, but still continues to photograph.

The random citizen of the day is Bubble !

Bubble is a 12 years old little girl who just found her hat last month ! She can make magic bubbles with varying sizes, weight and resistance. One time she accidentally created a big one around herself ! It didn’t last long enough to be a worry fortunately.

She’s a very energetic kid and she has been using her magic to play all sort of ball games with her friends. Sport games really fascinates her, even more than magic shows, because of all the uncertainty and stakes that they have. Some games even allow magic ! One of her dreams is becoming a professional player, but it’s still up in the air.

The random citizen of the day is Azur !

Azur works as a DJ at club Prisma in Prisma. The owner was veeeeryy creative with the name of the club. Like all the other DJ here, his scene name is a color, though he isn’t pushing it as far as some who do whole bodypaint before their show. Speaking of which, he has to work with Indigo, who contrarily to the first impression Azur got of him, is actually a somewhat decent guy. He has to be at least, since the president seems to trust him.

With his CD magic, Azur was convinced he could make a name out of himself on the music scene! But the market is so flooded nowadays that it’s impossible without a little help or a lot of luck. Azur had neither of those so he turned to something else. Working in a club doesn’t really gives you as much fame as a solo career might, but it’s a much more stable and friendly environment, though some coworkers are more distant than others. He also got to meet a lot of people, and even have some fans who comes specifically on nights where he’s working. So things worked out great for him in the end.

The random citizen of the day is Marina !

Marina is a young adult who is still searching for her calling. Most people her age found jobs that matched their magic, but she outgrew her magic some years ago. Making tiny boats isn’t really a very sought after abilities, even if they can be decorative.

She thought about making a place for herself in the entertainment industry like the super Star Wallis Gloom and his new assistant! She was so happy to get to talk with him and she even got to held his hand! No matter what all the newspaper may say, she’s convinced he HAS to be innocent. She doesn’t believe any of the hearsay that most newstation relay and has instead decided to find the truth on her own! Her investigations lead her to believe the president had a hand in this, somehow...

Perhaps she has finally found her calling?

Roger is a journalist and radio host in his thirties. Thanks to his magic, he managed to record Wallis Gloom’s announcement of his new show at the mall. That gave his career a boost and he got to be the new radio presenter for the superstar’s show. While he isn’t exactly a die-hard fan of his, it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass. And for once the commentator managed to keep his calm when Wallis showed up.

He takes his job seriously and tries to give the most accurate descriptions he can, while still adding some flair. He IS a gloomversian after all. When things started going wrong, he decided to stay and report the events happening until a certain point.

After everything he saw that day and everything that happened afterwards, he decided to take a break from journalism. This really wasn’t what he signed up for.

Hello all you beautiful people! I’m not yet dead, though I am sadly overwhelmed by responsibilities and this one wasn’t the most pressing one.

I may go back to updating this blog soon with a slow rythm, who knows~

The random citizen of the day is Betty !

Betty is a business woman in her thirties. Having a passion for baking, her magic reflected that and gave her the means to be twice as efficient for her baking projects. This gave her the idea to start her own baking brand, capitalizing on gloomversians’ sweet tooth. Her hard work started a small baking empire with her as the head.

Now that it’s on a roll, she’s been taking more time for herself, and discovered that she had quite the green thumb! Her gardening skills are as fearsome as her baking skills, and she’s able to revive almost any plants with just her dedication and no magic.

The random citizen of the day is Cotton !

Cotton is a young adult who recently gained her independence ! Finding that job at the mall was a lucky break and she’s enjoying her new found freedom from her parents ! Her magic is also particularly useful in her line of work since she can create cotton pad to clean up make up or nail polish. Some clients can be very annoying and demanding but she got to meet superstar Wallis Gloom !!

After the magic show, Cotton started reconsidering her opinion of him... Hearing about how his old assistant was treated, she started sympathizing with both of them. It also put in a new light Wallis Gloom’s attitude that she had previously ignored or dismissed as “typical celebrity”. Even if she doesn’t buy the whole “inversian spy” story, she wants justice for his assistants.

The random citizen of the day is Acer !

Acer Palmatum is an ambassador of Ecoverse along with Ancot. They’ve been showing her the ropes of the job since they’ve been ambassador for a couple of years now. They’re in their late twenties and has been a big believer of Ecoverse’s system and Hyacy since their teen years.

Acer is a very active member in their community, always ready to help others, very dedicated to their beliefs. Like most ecoversian, they have plant magic. As an ambassador, they want to represent the best Ecoverse has to offer, and that is compassion, tolerance and support. They’re not afraid to stand their ground and can be very passionate about their country.
