The Department of Magnificent Manicures loves Halloween season because that’s when people like self-taught Dutch nail artist PiggieLuv pull out all the stops to make their fingernails look utterly spooktastic.

With designs ranging from minimal yet impressively creepy to detailed painted scenes with glow-in-the-dark details, it’s clear that Halloween is PiggieLuv’s favorite time of year.

“I have a sick appreciation for all things thriller & horror,” the artist told Bored Panda. “I had so much fun making Halloween nail art in 2014, and I’ve been making crazier designs each year. It’s my chance to go all out!”
