Dear Diary,

I honestly thought Meri’s garden club would be boring, but it is actually kind of nice. Most of the bio students are weirdly obsessed with it, which makes sense because half the plants look normal and the other half look like they grew out of some scientist’s bad idea. Still, it is fun.

I tried to follow Meri’s instructions on planting a small branch, and it failed immediately. I think I made it worse somehow. Lmao

She asked me, really casually, if I still missed him. I said yeah. A lot. I still do, even after five years. I hate trains. I hate anything that feels too much like them.

Then she told me to take Polaroids of the plants so she could hang them up in the greenhouse. I know she was distracting me on purpose, but I did it anyway. It helped more than she said it did.
